Batuuu has played in the second divisions of both the LFL and the Arabian League
Batu "Batuuu" Kaygusuz is set to join Los Heretics in the SuperLiga, sources tell Sheep Esports on Saturday. At 20 years old, the Turkish support is leaving the Turkish Championship League (TCL) after a solid year with Misa Esports, where he won the Summer Split and reached the EMEA Masters quarterfinals twice. During the offseason, he was also considered by Movistar KOI Fénix and serval ERL teams.
Batuu will be stepping in after Norman "Kaiser" Kaiser, who also had a good year in Spain with Los Heretics. The team won the Winter Split, finished top three in Spring, and reached both the Summer Final and the Final Four. At the EMEA Masters, they made two quarterfinal runs followed by a Summer finals appearance, where they fell to Karmine Corp Blue.
A TCL Champion
If the results were there, they came with several changes in the team’s botlane. Early in the year, Batuuu was supposed to share the lane with Muhammed Hasan "Kaori" Şentürk, but after only a few best-of series he was replaced by Emre "Lens" Tanyeri.
In Spring, Batuuu spent the split alongside Slovak AD Carry Matúš "Neon" Jakubčík, before eventually being joined by Lim "ToongE" Ho-seon in Summer. That split also saw a jungle change with the arrival of Can "Closer" Çelik to replace Tayfun "Typhoon" Gümüş, a move that helped secure the first trophy of Batuuu's career.
Before that, Batuuu had stints with BoostGate Esports in the TCL, Klanik Esports in LFL Division 2, One More Esports in Arabian League Division 2, Rift Sloths in Elite Series Division 2, and Dark Passage Academy. He is currently Grandmaster 956 LP after nearly 1,400 games, and has reached Challenger 1,502 LP this season. His most played champions on solo queue are Bard, Rell, and Rakan.
Lospa was the first option
Before securing Batuuu, Los Heretics came very close to signing Lospa for their support role. The South Korean player wasn’t just one of their options — he was their top priority, and he would likely have joined the team if not for a late LEC offer from Fnatic.
Fnatic initially put their offseason focus on bringing back their former support Yoon “Jun” Se-jun. Despite several offers and the player’s desire to join the Black and Orange, GIANTX refused to sell him. With Jun off the table, Fnatic’s final choice narrowed to Kim “Piero” Jung-hun or Lospa.
On Thursday, Fnatic ultimately opted for Piero. This move prompted Solary to lock in Piero, while Los Heretics secured their second option, Batuuu.
