This marks Bilibili Gaming’s third consecutive appearance at MSI
Bilibili Gaming put an end to Invictus Gaming’s hopes just one step away from MSI qualification and the LPL Split 2 final. Despite the loss, IG secure third place—their best result since winning Spring 2019. Meanwhile, BLG book their spot at MSI 2025 in Vancouver and will face Anyone’s Legend again in a best-of-five. The winner will not only be crowned LPL champion but also claim the region’s first seed at MSI, earning a direct berth to the Main Stage, while the loser must fight through the Play-In stage.
In classic LPL style, the series was packed with action — an average of 37 kills per game and constant teamfights that kept the pace relentless. Game 1 saw a surprise Zed jungle pick from Zhao "Jiejie" Li-Jie, a rare sight even in a Game 5 Fearless Draft. Despite a few scares, IG managed to stabilize and take control, with Chen "GALA" Wei and Song "Rookie" Eui-jin dishing out more damage than BLG’s frontline could handle. In Game 2, Luo "ON" Wen-Jun debuted Shen in pro play and earned MVP honors, while Zhao "Elk" Jia-Hao secured a crucial early triple kill near the drake, helping BLG even the score.
BLG get a rematch in the finals
BLG carried that momentum into Games 3 and 4 to wrap up the series and punch their ticket to the LPL final. Yang "Beichuan" Ling, who was playing for ThunderTalk Gaming less than two months ago, earned MVP in the final game of the series — a standout performance that capped off BLG’s run through the lower bracket.
With this win, BLG secure their third straight MSI appearance and will face Anyone’s Legend for the LPL title and the region’s first seed in Vancouver. The best-of-five is set for Saturday, June 14 at 11 AM CET and promises to be just as tightly contested as their last clash — a five-game thriller that ended 3-2 in favor of Cui "Shanks" Xiao-Jun and his squad.
