TALON failed to qualify for any international events this year
On Monday, TALON announced that Chu "FoFo" Chun-Lan will not be playing in the 2025 LCP Summer Split following a mutual agreement between both parties. The 26-year-old Taiwanese midlaner spent two splits with TALON without securing a title—falling short in the Winter Final and then in the Spring Lower Bracket Final. As a result, the team missed out on both the First Stand and the Mid-Season Invitational—an unusual outcome for an organization that’s typically present at nearly every international event.
Rumors are swirling around a possible return of legendary midlaner Huang "Maple" Yi-Tang, who retired at the end of 2024. While nothing has been confirmed yet, Maple rejoining TALON would mark a twist, especially after the team's recent struggles. On the other hand, medical reasons have been cited in FoFo’s departure, with the player currently prioritizing recovery.
A Decade at the Top
FoFo began his professional journey with the 2012 World Champions, Taipei Assassins, in 2016, before quickly moving to J Team. There, he spent nearly four years, winning the LMS Summer 2019 title and qualifying for his first and only Worlds appearance.
In 2020, he made the jump to the LPL with Bilibili Gaming, later playing for Rare Atom, returning briefly to BLG, and eventually achieving his best Chinese result in 2023 with EDward Gaming—claiming a Spring Split podium finish alongside stars like Zhao "Jiejie" Li-Jie, Tian "Meiko" Ye, and Jian "Uzi" Zi-Hao. He closed out his LPL chapter with Team WE in 2024 before returning home in 2025 to join TALON, just as Maple had stepped down.
