This Thursday, the LCS unveiled the five players selected to the Spring Split
All-Pro Team. Fresh off winning the first split of the season, LYON placed both of its carries on the roster: midlaner Kang "
" Sung-in and AD carry Kim "
" Min-cheol. First of the regular season with a perfect 7-0 track record, Cloud9 is the other organization with multiple representatives in the lineup, thanks to toplaner Park "
" Seung-gyu and veteran support Philippe "
" Laflamme. The final spot goes to Team Liquid’s Brandon "
" Villegas. As for the
All-Pro Team, here are the five players who were voted the best in their respective roles during the LCS Spring Split:
A well-earned recognition for Thanatos, who has clearly established himself as the most dominant toplaner in the league, finishing the regular season with nine solo kills. In the jungle, the Argentinian player once again proved why he became the first Latin American player to be imported into a major region league, leading all junglers in DPM.
On the support side, Vulcan also stands as the only North American player on this roster, fewer than in the LEC All-Pro team, which features two North American players: Karmine Corp’ support Alan “Busio” Cwalina and Movistar KOI’s midlaner Joseph Joon “Jojopyun” Pyun.
Coaching Staff of The Split and Other All-Pro Team
On the coaching side, unsurprisingly, Cloud9’s staff takes the spotlight. Head coach Nicholas “Inero” Smith is joined by assistant coaches Christian “IWDominate” Rivera and Marius “Veigar v2” Aune. A deserved recognition after a dominant regular season in which they therefore went undefeated, before narrowly avoiding a reverse sweep against FlyQuest in Round 1 of the playoffs. The LCS also unveiled the second and the third All-Pro Teams.
The Second All-Pro Team is composed of:
- Toplane: Park "Morgan" Ru-han
- Jungle: Kacper "Inspired" Słoma
- Midlane: Song "Quad" Su-hyeong
- AD Carry: Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek
- Support: Jonah "Isles" Rosario
The Third All-Pro Team is composed of:
- Toplane: İbrahim "Gakgos" Samet Bulut
- Jungle: Robert "Blaber" Huang
- Midlane: Eain "APA" Stearns
- AD Carry: Sean "Yeon" Sung
- Support: Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in
The opening round of the LCS playoffs has already been fully played out, resulting in the elimination of Shopify Rebellion and Sentinels. The title race is now down to four strong contenders: Cloud9, LYON, FlyQuest, and Team Liquid. The winner and runner-up will qualify for the
Mid-Season Invitational in South Korea, while the third-place team will receive a consolation prize in the form of a Riot-funded bootcamp in Korea during the event.
