Faker secured the second pentakill of his career, ten years after his first
Day 2 of LCK Week 6 delivered a historic moment, as Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok secured the second pentakill of his career—this time on Ahri against DRX—over ten years after his first on LeBlanc. T1 claimed the win and remain third in the standings. Gen.G, meanwhile, cruised past Nongshim RedForce to stay undefeated. Faker and Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu were named MVPs of their respective series.
on a good run
T1 picked up their third consecutive win today, this time against a DRX squad that had also been on a good run. Both games were dominant stomps from the reigning world champions, with the team’s carries stepping up and the synergy between Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong and Ryu "Keria" Min-seok back in full swing—Keria’s Gragas was key in completely shutting down the opposing botlane. In Game 2, T1 snowballed in classic fashion, stacking kill after kill against a DRX side that seemed out of options. At the 25-minute mark, a Baron fight saw the GOAT secure a pentakill—his second ever. With the win sealed, T1 hold on to third place in the standings and are showing a much stronger form than earlier in the split.
Nongshim still can’t handle the LCK’s top teams
Gen.G secured their eleventh straight win in LCK Round 1–2, and their sixth consecutive 2–0 sweep. They remain firmly at the top of the standings and are clear favorites for the split. Picking a single MVP from this roster isn’t easy given how consistently impressive all five players are, but today the spotlight was on Canyon. In Game 1, Gen.G put early draft priority on Xin Zhao and Jayce—both blind picks that proved highly effective. Game 2 was a stomp, becoming the fastest of the split at just 21 minutes and 55 seconds, led by Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk’s dominant Kalista, who topped the damage charts.
Tomorrow’s action kicks off with DN Freecs looking for their first win of the split against KT Rolster, who are coming off a solid victory over Dplus KIA. Later, OKSavingsBank BRION will face the tough challenge of taking down Hanwha Life Esports—a feat only Gen.G have managed so far this split.
