Canyon celebrated his 400th LCK victory today, marking a major milestone in his already impressive career
Nothing new under the LCK sun today—Gen.G remain the undisputed kings of Summoner’s Rift. Now on a 9-series win streak and still undefeated since the LCK Cup, they cruised past KT Rolster with a clean 2-0. In a rare moment of vulnerability, Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon finally fell after over seven games without dying, with Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong putting an end to that streak. Meanwhile, DRX made a roster move, subbing in Trần "LazyFeel" Bảo Minh for Park "Teddy" Jin-seong, who was sent back to the academy team. The swap paid off—DRX picked up only their second win of the split, this time against OKSavingsbank BRION, finally snapping a brutal seven-game losing streak.
An impressive display of dominance
Game 1 was a sheer showcase of dominance and power from Gen.G, with nearly every lane ahead in gold—except midlane. The standout was Kim "Kiin" Gi-in, who built a monstrous gold lead, secured a double kill in what looked like a certain death scenario, and topped the damage charts with over 25,000 points. His performance was pivotal and ultimately earned him the MVP of the series.
The second game was a bit closer, but Gen.G still came out on top. In the early game, Bdd was hit by a perfectly placed arrow from Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk’s Ashe, giving Chovy a clean kill—an unfortunate play that even made Chovy chuckle on camera. Ruler, solid throughout the series on both Ashe and Xayah, helped keep Gen.G undefeated and firmly in control of first place in the LCK.
A liberating victory
After seven straight losses, DRX finally returned to winning ways — exactly one month since their last victory. LazyFeel’s promotion to the main roster proved decisive, and Game 1 was a statement from Bae "Sponge" Young-jun, who delivered a dominant Nocturne performance with 19 kill participations out of 20. Strong showings from the solo lanes helped DRX open the series with confidence, refusing to let another match slip away.
BRION responded well in Game 2, heavily playing through their botlane. Byeon "Hype" Jeong-hyeon shined on Varus with a 9/3/7 KDA, while Oh "Pollu" Dong-gyu’s Braum posted 100% kill participation. Game 3 slowed down considerably, but a crucial Elder Dragon fight turned the tide — Sponge, this time on Poppy, hit a three-man ultimate to seal the game. He deservedly took MVP honors, giving DRX a lifeline in the playoff race.
T1 couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to bounce back from their loss against BRION than tomorrow’s match against the winless DN Freecs. At the top of the standings, Hanwha Life Esports and Nongshim RedForce will clash in a key matchup, with NS eager to prove they belong among the LCK’s elite. The action kicks off at 10 AM CET.
