The four remaining teams come from four different regions
This Friday, the EMEA Masters Summer 2025 concluded their quarterfinals, with Los Heretics and Los Ratones both earning their place in the semifinals. It marks Heretics’ first semifinal appearance in two participations this year, while Los Ratones continue their incredible streak in 2025.
Los Heretics ended the historic run of the valiant Prime League third seed, ROSSMAN Centaurs. As a result, the final four teams represent four different regional leagues: the NLC, the LFL, the Prime League, and the Superliga — a diversity not seen since Spring 2024. On top of this, three out of the four teams still in the race were down 4-3 and barely qualified in the Swiss Stage.
Los Ratones don't lose to the LFL
The reigning back-to-back champions have once again dominated French teams: Ici Japon Corp, BK ROG (3–0 in Spring), Vitality.Bee (3–0 in Summer), and now the Galions (3–1). Only one last French obstacle remains — and it’s the biggest one yet. Karmine Corp Blue, the most decorated team in EMEA Masters history, stands in their way in what promises to be a final-worthy semifinal. Los Ratones are now just two best-of-fives away from completing a golden road through all the ERL splits — a feat never before achieved in League of Legends EMEA history.
On the other side, Los Heretics will meet Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition. The miracle run from the Prime League continues, as the team that climbed all the way from the bottom of their domestic playoffs now finds itself in the EMEA Masters top four. It might already be the greatest chapter in their organization’s history.
Formerly known for their EU LCS days until 2018, USE could soon become the second team qualified for the LEC Winter Split 2026. Sheep Esports reported that Riot Games plans to introduce a new format for the 2026 season, replacing the usual Winter split with a kick off tournament including the ten teams from LEC with the most consistent team from 2025 in ERLS and the winner of the EMEA Masters Summer. Thus, if academy teams are indeed barred from competing, USE would already be the only eligible team remaining. That possibility only heightens the tension and stakes for their semifinal showdown, set to take place on Monday, October 20, at 18:00 CEST.
