Having served as assistant coach for Gen.G over the past two years, Helper is now promoted to Head Coach at Anyone's Legend
The only LPL team to keep their entire roster intact, Anyone's Legend will head into 2026 with the same five players: Li "Flandre" Xuan-jun in the toplane, Lee "Tarzan" Seung-yong in the jungle, Cui "Shanks" Xiao-Jun in the midlane, and Wang "Hope" Jie alongside Kim "Kael" Jin-hong in the botlane.
The only change comes in the coaching staff. Wong "Tabe" Pak Kan leaves to join JD Gaming, the iconic coach will be replaced by Kwon "Helper" Yeong-jae, who steps into the head coach role after two years as an assistant at Gen.G. He will be joined by Jiang "Teacherma" Chen, who was Head Coach of Team WE in 2025.
Give the team another shot
This is something rare in today’s League of Legends: AL will keep the same players for another year. In 2025, they were a major surprise in the LPL as well as on the international stage—Split 1 finalists, Split 2 champions, and third place in Split 3—showing consistency throughout the year.
At the Mid-Season Invitational in Vancouver, they fell in the Lower Bracket Final to T1, 3-2, in one of the most entertaining series of the year. They showcased high-level League of Legends that was also incredibly fun to watch. At Worlds, they were again eliminated in the quarterfinals by T1, delivering yet another thrilling and memorable series for the audience.
A new coaching staff
For the coaching staff, Helper joins as Head Coach, a role he hasn’t held since 2021 when he led PSG Talon, winning two PCS splits and taking the team to the MSI semifinals. At Gen.G, alongside Kim "KIM" Jeong-soo, he won two MSI titles and two LCK championships. He will face KIM in the LPL, as the latter has joined Weibo Gaming as Supervisor.
He will be joined by Teacherma, who at 26 will begin his third year of coaching after a first average season with Royal Never Give Up and a second year at Team WE, where the team truly showed great promise. The two will have the heavy task of succeeding Tabe, who played a major role in AL’s standout year.
