The Last Dance
According to sources close to the editorial staff of Sheep Esports, Case Esports would leave its Superliga spot next Split and would make its exit from the Spanish national league after only one split.
It all started on January 8, 2024, where Case Esports in a meeting together with the LVP communicated the possibility that the club would leave the league during this year even before the year ended. Casemiro's team would have taken 2 years to be promoted to the highest national competition of League of Legends in Spain and only one split after their debut they would make their exit from the league.
Previously, during the break between the spring and winter splits of 2023, Case Esports had already been very close to acquiring the Superliga slot through the purchase of Team Queso. Despite having reached a financial agreement for the slot, Team Queso ended up keeping the slot and exiting with 180 days notice as mentioned by Alejandro "Anonimotum" Gomis in his article on blix.gg.
By abandoning the spot, CASE Esports fails to comply with the terms of the license that obliges to complete the sports year (2 splits and Iberian Cup), and it will be withdrawn, so they won't be able to get economic benefits in the transfer of the same. The spot will be administered by LVP, which will make the decision in accordance with Riot Games, being able to be administratively attributed to another entity or submit it to an auction process according to the established criteria.
Case Esports was presented as one of the projects that came to revolutionize the market, in its debut in Superliga Segunda El Corte Inglés, Case was presented with the signing of the champion of the Superliga Ismael "Miniduke" Martinez Cortes. Case made a purchase and paid the buyout of the Spanish midlaner and together with other known names that today are still in Superliga as Miłosz "R4VEN" Domagalski or Kirill "AHaHaCiK" Skvortsov.
After a year where they were at the gates of promotion with a rather expensive project, they took a different path with a team focused on not being as volatile as the previous team where they got the promotion to Superliga against UCAM with a series that ended in 3-2 for the set of the Brazilian footballer.
The team currently is 11-5 in second place and is one of the favorites to reach the final of Torrevieja to proclaim themselves as champions of the Superliga. As to who will take Case's place, no decision has been made according to our sources and we will keep you informed as soon as a decision is made.
