Team Vitality are entering VCT EMEA 2026 with a
VALORANT tier-one lineup assembled to deliver immediately, built around an experienced spine and complementary profiles. The intention is explicit: establish a solid competitive framework early, while retaining enough flexibility to navigate the regulatory constraints that come with the opening months of the season.
With the
“super team” put together in 2025, crowned by an EMEA title at
Kickoff 2025, and further tweaks ahead of each split, Vitality ultimately failed to translate the roster’s raw potential into international success, prompting the organization to make sweeping changes.
For 2026, Vitality have put together a six-man group featuring Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen, Dawid “PROFEK” Święć, Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev, Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov, and Ștefan “Sayonara” Mîțcu, with Bartosz “UNFAKE” Bernacki listed as the sixth player. UNFAKE will stand in temporarily for Sayonara until the latter reaches the required age of 18, allowing him to be fielded in EMEA’s franchised league. This planned transition enables Vitality to secure an operational start to the season with a player already familiar with the structure, without abandoning the gradual integration of Sayonara as soon as his eligibility is confirmed.
A new era for the bees
On paper, Vitality now possess a core designed to bring stability and high-level game understanding. The surprise
signing of Chronicle, reuniting him years later with Derke, adds a proven partnership, and both embody the experience and competitive discipline that previously placed them among EMEA’s established elite with Fnatic, while Jamppi brings an additional layer of versatility and in-game leadership.
PROFEK, for his part, helps round out the roster’s balance after a season in which he demonstrated his value with BBL, culminating in a top-three finish at VCT EMEA Stage 3. Sayonara, meanwhile, fits more clearly as a deliberate long-term investment from Vitality: a raw young talent expected to grow into a full-time role once the age restriction is lifted, surrounded by veterans who have operated at the highest international level.
On the staff side, the project is led by Gregor “PAL” Morton, formerly of BBL Esports, alongside Benjamin “Scuttt” Hutchinson, who arrives from Fnatic after a year defined by frequent podium finishes but without converting them into international trophies. In a calendar where early results can weigh heavily, Vitality will therefore aim to lay down clean foundations from the first events, while managing a necessary, but controlled rotation between UNFAKE and Sayonara, to stabilize the definitive version of the roster from spring onward.
