Arabian League Champions FN Esports are rebuilding for the Spring Split, sources tell Sheep Esports. After a 29-36th place at EMEA Masters, rookie Toplaner Hassine "Krest" Abdssamad had to leave the roster for personal reasons.
As a consequence, FNE’s midlaner roleswaps to Toplane in order to make room for a new midlaner.
Sayn arrives in the midlane
Justice is finally served for Tarek "
" Djoghlaf, as the EUW server’s rank 1 player with over 3100 LP joins the organization. The 20-year-old Algerian midlaner returns to the Arabian League after nearly a year in France with IZIDream and BK ROG Esports, as he joins FN Esports. More recently, the midlaner competed in the AL 2026 Spring Promotion Super Stars, where the team successfully qualified, before the slot was later sold to JSK Esports.
Sayn made his debut in 2024 with Twareg Esports, where he immediately won his first split in the AL Division 2. He then went through a more difficult Summer Split with Fox Gaming before catching the attention of IZI Dream, who signed him for the 2025 season, where he went on to reach the LFL Div 2 finals.
At the start of 2026, he earned a promotion to the LFL with BK ROG, but what seemed like a dream quickly turned into a nightmare. The team was
excluded from the league due to financial issues, and with no organization stepping in to acquire the roster, the players were left without a team and became free agents.
Sayn is therefore set to join FN, the reigning Arabian League champions, who are still making a roster change. The lineup will now feature Random in the toplane, Valentin “
” Garnier in the jungle, Sayn in mid, and a botlane composed of Fares “
” Saidana and Abdulkader “
” Halwani.
Random roleswaps to toplane
To accommodate this change, former FNE midlaner Adam “Random” Grepl will role-swap to the top lane. The move comes after FNE struggled to find a suitable resident top laner to replace Krest. At the same time, Sayn’s unexpected availability presented a strong opportunity in the midlane, making the transition the most logical solution for the team.
While Random has committed to the swap for the benefit of the roster, it could have consequences beyond the team itself. Following in the footsteps of Czech midlaners Marek “
Humanoid” Brázda and Adam “
Jackies” Jeřábek, he would have faced tough competition for a spot on the national team at the
Esports Nations Cup. By moving to the top lane, however, his chances of selection may improve, as the role currently has less depth in the Czech scene.
Role swaps between the sololanes are not unprecedented. One notable example is Janik “JNX” Bartels, who began his career as a midlaner in the LEC before successfully transitioning to the toplane, where he later re-qualified and established himself.
Scouted years ago by Cloud9 in the LCS, but never managing to conclude a deal into Tier 1 despite some great ERL splits, Random will now potentially start a new chapter in his career.
Aymen and Maxi complete the roster
In the jungle, Magnus “MAXI” Stenz Kristensen will replace Valentin “Stormax” Garnier, marking his return to competitive play. After spending several months away from the scene, including time in China, Maxi is set to rejoin the ERLs. A seasoned Tier 2 veteran, he has reached multiple EMEA Masters finals and even made an appearance on the LCS stage with FlyQuest.
Rounding out the lineup is rookie support Aymen “Aymen” Zeghina, who joins from fellow Arabian League team GnG Amazigh. The French-Algerian prospect is one to watch and could also enter the conversation for a spot in a national team at the upcoming Nations Cup.
With this revamped roster, FN Esports will aim to reclaim the Arabian League title and push for deeper runs at EMEA Masters, should these changes pay off.
