After completing their roster with five players, it was time to light the fuse with a spark: Jose "F1RE" Maria Iznardo Salar is set to join GIANTX iTero in the Spanish league as Head Coach, sources tell Sheep Esports on Tuesday. The coach’s most recent experience was during the Winter Split of the 2025 Superliga, where he led ZETA, who finished last in the league.
The roster is 100% Iberian, with four Spaniards and one Portuguese player. It will consist of Manuel "ManoloGap" García in the toplane, Antonio "Th3Antonio" Espinosa Bejarano in the jungle, Ismael "Miniduke" Martínez Cortés in midlane, Víctor "Flakked" Lirola Tortosa as AD Carry, and Amadeu "Attila" Dias de Carvalho as support. A very experienced roster that will be guided by F1RE.
A Long Career as an Analyst
As a Head Coach, F1RE doesn’t have a wealth of experience, but he has been part of many teams as an analyst. His career began in 2016 with KIYF eSports Club, and he later worked with several major organizations such as GamersOrigin, Schalke 04, and Astralis in the LEC.
F1RE has even worked in the LCS with Counter Logic Gaming and Cloud9. He has had some prior experience as a Head Coach, first in 2020 with Misfits Premier in the LFL and at the EMEA Masters, and more recently in 2024 with Rebels Gaming and in 2025 with ZETA, both in the Spanish League—both stints ending with a tenth-place finish.
