Two familiar faces from the Pacific region are set to return to the
LCP for the upcoming split. Following a disappointing LCP Split 2 in their inaugural season in the league,
has decided to strengthen their roster by recruiting two players with extensive experience both within the competition and on the international stage.
Without a team since
PSG Talon's departure from the league at the end of last year, AD Carry
is set to return to professional play with the organization that effectively replaced his former team in the LCP, sources tell
Sheep Esports. He is also expected to be joined by
, a member of the
roster that impressed many observers last year before moving to
at the start of this season.
Building new basis
Ground Zero Gaming, which entered the league at the beginning of the year by taking PSG Talon's slot, made a promising start to the season with a fourth-place finish in LCP Split 1. However, the organization failed to build on that result, ending Split 2 in second-to-last place and missing out on the playoffs. Following what was deemed an unsatisfactory outcome, the team opted to conduct tryouts across multiple positions as they began rebuilding their roster for the remainder of the season. Toplaner
and jungler
are expected to remain with the team, while the current botlane of
and
is set to be replaced.
The organization had also shown interest in AD Carry
, a former PSG Talon player who most recently competed for
Ultra Prime. However, he is expected to join a different project. As for the midlane position, currently occupied by
, Ground Zero Gaming is still evaluating options through tryouts and could make a change in the near future.
With the additions of Kaiwing and Betty, the organization is securing the services of one of the most accomplished bot lanes available in the region. Both players have previously won either the PCS or the LCP during their respective tenures with PSG Talon. However, they have never actually played alongside one another, as Kaiwing represented the organization between 2020 and 2022, while Betty was part of the roster from 2024 to 2025.
Kaiwing experienced a challenging start to the year in the CBLOL with Keyd Stars, finishing sixth in Split 1. More recently, he helped Hong Kong secure qualification for the Esports Nations Cup through the Asian regional qualifier. Ground Zero Gaming will now hope that the experience and pedigree of its new bot lane can help the team return to playoff contention and re-establish itself among the LCP's leading contenders.
