A new organization is joining the Turkish Championship League (
TCL) next season:
S2G Esports. For its debut year in the league, the team is fielding an experienced roster with the clear ambition of competing at the top of the standings. The team should take one of the spot left by
ULF Esports,
Beşiktaş Esports and
Papara SuperMassive in the league, as the organization announced their departure from the league a few days ago.
The lineup features Park “DnDn” Geun-woo and Lee “Bonnie” Gwang-su as Korean imports in the toplane and jungle respectively. The midlane is occupied by experienced ERL player Emre “Kofte” Akça, while the botlane will be formed by Sergen “Scorth” Eke and Mertai “Mersa” Sari.
Ready to challenge for the title?
Despite this being their first year in the TCL, S2G Esports are clearly not entering the league to make up the numbers. By assembling a roster full of experienced players, including Korean imports and former tier 1 competitors, the team appears to have all the tools needed to contend for the top spots in the league.
The only player in the roster who has never competed in the TCL before is Mersa. The Greek support was reportedly an option for
Bushido Wildcats during the offseason, but will ultimately play for S2G next year. A former
LEC player with Misfits Gaming and Team Heretics,
Mersa spent last season in the LFL with Solary, where the team struggled to achieve strong collective results.
In the bot lane, he will be paired with Scorth, a Turkish AD Carry who has been competing in the TCL since 2023 and who reached the Summer Split final last year with Bushido Wildcats. Another former Wildcats member, Kofte, will join them in the midlane. Since the start of his career in 2019, Kofte has spent nearly all of his seasons in the TCL, with the exception of 2024 when he played for Zero Tenacity.
Finally, S2G’s topside feature two Korean imports.
After a brief stint with SK Gaming in the LEC, DnDn returns to the TCL following a year with
Eternal Fire. He will be joined by Bonnie, who discovered the league last year after playing for
BBL Dark Passage. Prior to that, Bonnie spent much of his career in Korea, notably within the KT Rolster's academy team.
