Support player Oh â
Careerâ Hyung-suk joins
Dplus Kia next year, annouced the team on Friday. He will take over the starting support role in the
LCK lineup, becoming the teamâs third support in as many years after Kim â
Kellinâ Hyeong-gyu in 2024 and Cho â
BeryLâ Geon-hee in 2025. In its search for a replacement for BeryLâwhose departure the organization announced on social media at the start of the LCK offseasonâDplus Kia has turned to a rookie emerging from the
LCK Challengers League.
Dplus Kiaâs botlane for next season will therefore be composed entirely of players graduating from LCK CL. After reaching an agreement for
the arrival of Sin âSmashâ Guem-jae from T1 Esports Academy, the team will now add another academy-level prospect with Career. Having begun his career (xd) in DRX Academy before advancing to DRX Challengers, he competed this year with
FEARX Youth.
He played the full season with the team and, despite some ups and downs throughout the year, Career distinguished himself in the botlane alongside Kwak âEnoshâ Kyu-jun. He won the LCK CL title by defeating KT Rolster Challengers in the final after an impressive lower-bracket run. Career delivered consistent performances throughout every playoff match leading up to the championship victory.
While his organization opted not to promote him to its LCK squad and instead chose to continue with Kellin, DK decided to offer him the opportunity to join Koreaâs top league. He will therefore complete the teamâs 2026 lineup,
coached by Kim âcvMaxâ Dae-ho. He arrives as part of a notably young roster built around Heo â
ShowMakerâ Su.
At only 21 years old and heading into his first LCK season, Career will still be the second-oldest player on the roster, ahead of Smash (19), Choi â
Lucidâ Yong-hyeok (20), and Jeon â
Siwooâ Si-woo (17). DK will therefore enter next season with an exceptionally young roster as it attempts to climb back to the top of the standings. For the first time since 2018,
the organization failed to qualify for Worlds and was relegated to the Rise Group during the LCK Seasonâan overall campaign the team intends to move past as it seeks a fresh identity for the coming year.
