After a week of competition marked by highly anticipated matchups and several surprises at the top of the standings,
and
emerged as the major winners of the weekend. With two victories each, both teams have strengthened their positions at the top of the table. At the same time,
, despite struggling since the beginning of the year, spoiled
’s return to European competition by securing a 2–1 victory over their longtime rival, propelled by a resurgence in form from their key leaders.
At the conclusion of the weekend’s matches, Sheep Esports’ Team of the Week, limited to a maximum of two players per team, features toplaner Kaan “Naak Nako” Okan, jungler Ismaïl “Isma” Boualem, midlaner Adam “Jackies” Jeřábek, AD Carry Elias “Upset” Lipp, and support Kadir “Fleshy” Kemiksiz. In recognition of two high-level performances throughout the week, Jackies has been named our Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the week.
Toplaner: Naak Nako
A regular presence in the Team of the Week during the
LEC Versus,
returns this split with yet another highly solid week. Against
NAVI, he secured the MVP of the series following a strong performance on Gnar, followed by an impactful showing on Gwen that placed the Ukrainian side under significant pressure. He then once again dominated his lane against
Movistar KOI and even adopted a more restrained role in Game 3, picking Ornn and allowing his teammates to shine. Nevertheless, he still made his presence felt in a decisive teamfight alongside Fleshy, despite missing a few ultimates.
Jungler: Isma
The French-Belgian jungler played a major role in GIANTX’s 2–0 week. Remaining faithful to his aggressive and proactive playstyle,
consistently put opposing junglers under pressure. Against
Team Heretics, he once again showcased his strengths on bruiser champions before returning to Sejuani in Game 3, a champion on which he has historically been particularly comfortable. More broadly, his contribution during the early game and his consistency throughout each match made him the most dominant jungler of the week.
Midlaner: Jackies (MVP)
earns our MVP of the Week award following his team’s two victories, both of which saw him receive the series MVP. Against
SK Gaming, he made the difference twice by remaining virtually untouchable, first on a solid Ryze and then on an Ahri that finished with a 4/0/18 scoreline. Against Team Heretics, he also delivered a strong performance, despite a few mistakes on Annie in Game 2. He appeared far more comfortable on Tristana in Game 3. His more liberated approach to the game, combined with the slight shift in the current meta, seems to suit him particularly well.
AD Carry: Upset
Despite playing only a single match this week,
still left a strong impression by helping Fnatic defeat
G2 Esports. Although the first game proved difficult, his second game on Yunara was far more convincing. He notably stood out during a teamfight in which he boldly took a Bard portal to dive onto the opposing team, turning the momentum of the game in Fnatic’s favor. Positioned unusually on the weak side during that game, he fulfilled his role effectively, patiently waiting for the right moment to make an impact. An honorable mention also goes to
, who likewise delivered a strong week.
Support: Fleshy
has now achieved a 100% presence in the Team of the Week selections so far this Split. The Turkish support once again produced two impressive performances. Dominant in lane alongside Matyáš “
Carzzy” Orság against NAVI, he was even more influential in Team Vitality’s victory over
Movistar KOI, despite facing a bot lane widely regarded as one of the strongest in Europe. He embodies the strong synergy and momentum that Team Vitality have displayed since the beginning of the Spring Split.
