KBOOM brings Fantasy League to League of Legends’ Tier 1

After winning over fans of the French League of Legends league in 2025, KBOOM is taking its Fantasy League to the next level. The three-year-old company has recently expanded its free feature, available both as a website and a mobile application, to four LoL’s Tier 1 leagues (LEC, LCS, LCK and LPL) for this summer. In practice, participants can open league-specific packs and obtain player cards from the corresponding championship. Each player has several versions depending on their rarity (Uncommon, Epic, Legendary…) with a multiplier that increases according to the rarity of the card.

Every day, users receive two free packs per league, in addition to the two packs granted per league upon registration (10 in total). While duplicates can be obtained, users can “burn” them to receive gems, which can then be used to purchase additional packs. In 2025, KBOOM reported nearly 3.5 million cards revealed, corresponding to 700,000 packs opened. Beyond the collecting aspect, however, the Fantasy League is above all a community-driven game designed to allow users to engage more deeply with each match.

Before each matchday, users are invited to build their draft. They then earn points based on the performances of the players included in their lineup, with bonuses determined by each player's multiplier. It is technically possible to field players for whom users do not own a card, but those players will not benefit from any multiplier. Users can also obtain coaches through packs, each providing different effects and applying a multiplier to every player from their team.

The points accumulated throughout the matches are used to establish an overall leaderboard among users. At each step, KBOOM has planned gem rewards to allow players to open additional packs. The French startup has also allocated more than €1,500 in rewards for the best-performing players at the end of the summer.

KBOOM is also contributing, on its own scale, to the funding of LFL teams. The company acquired exclusive rights to use the French league’s IP to display player images. The company also plans to expand its Fantasy League to international events, starting with the Worlds later this year.
