Scheduled to take place in São Paulo, Brazil, from October 22 to November 1, the
VALORANT Game Changers Championship will once again be the culmination of the GC competitive year. Reserved for women and marginalized genders, this circuit is one of the very few in esports to benefit from publisher support, and
VALORANT’s GC circuit is by far the most advanced and developed one in existence, ahead of
League of Legends and far ahead of the rest.
A total of 10 teams will therefore travel to Brazil in November to compete for the highly coveted world championship title. Three teams from the EMEA region will make the trip to São Paulo, looking to reclaim the
title won by Team Liquid in 2025. As for the local teams, one team will receive a direct invitation to the event through the Final Stage, while a second team will have to go through a Last Chance Qualifier for the Americas region.
In the Americas LCQ, a Brazilian team, a North American team, and a LATAM team will therefore compete for a spot at the World Championship. In North America, the Stage 2 winner will receive a direct invitation, while in LATAM, the winner of the
continental final between the best team from the North and the best team from the South will earn the invitation, with the other team having to play in the LCQ. In Asia, three slots are planned, one for China and two for the Pacific region, which will compete in a qualifier featuring teams from South Korea, Japan, Oceania, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.
In EMEA, Gentle Mates, SK Nebula, and G2 Gozen will therefore travel to Brazil. Champions of Stage 1 in EMEA immediately after joining the circuit, having defeated G2 Gozen, Gentle Mates are having an exceptional year in Game Changers, finishing second in Stage 2. SK Nebula, who had to go through promotion/relegation at the end of the first split, claimed the title in the second segment after defeating M8 in the grand final. In Stage 3, the two winners and G2’s GC team, who finished second and third, respectively, are therefore in the top 3 and have secured their spots in São Paulo through the points system, regardless of who wins the final stage.
