Sources: thinkii set to join PCIFIC Esports' coaching staff in VCT EMEA

PCIFIC Esports are set to welcome a new addition to their staff ahead of the start of the upcoming VCT EMEA season. Spanish coach Manuel “thinkii” Martínez is expected to join the Turkish organization’s coaching staff, following PCIFIC’s recent promotion to the league via EMEA Ascension, sources tell Sheep Esports.

He will work alongside Kaan “Leader” Taşpınar, who will serve as the team’s head coach. After a successful first stint in VCT EMEA with BBL Esports, thinkii is set to embark on a new chapter of his career heading into next season.

PCIFIC’s entry into VCT EMEA came under unusual circumstances, as the organization transferred its entire roster and coaching staff to BBL Esports, forcing the newly promoted team to rebuild from scratch. With the appointment of an experienced and well-rounded coach like Leader, PCIFIC has now decided to further reinforce its structure by adding thinkii to the staff.

Despite having only one split of VCT experience, thinkii’s results speak for themselves. He played a key role in BBL Esports’ third-place finish—the best result in the organization’s VCT history—even if it ultimately fell short of qualification for Champions.

Throughout his career, thinkii has built a strong reputation within the Spanish scene. He began coaching in 2022 and was named Best Coach of VALORANT Challengers Spain Split 1 in 2023. In 2024, he joined UCAM Esports Club, reaching the league final during Split 2. His performances caught the attention of BBL Esports, earning him his first opportunity in VCT. Now, he is set to experience a new challenge with another Turkish organization next season.

One of the last teams to finalize its offseason, PCIFIC Esports have already secured several players, including Felix “al0rante” Brandl, Johann “seven” Hernandez, Mateja “qpert” Mijović, and Patryk “NINJA” Koczyba. With their roster, PCIFIC will look to defend their place in the league following their Ascension qualification for the VCT EMEA.
