According to sources close to
Sheep Esports, Team Secret is reportedly considering a trade with Oasis Gaming to bring in Jhian "
Zeus" Vega as a substitute for their VCT Pacific roster. As part of the deal, the Filipino-European organization would acquire a young player who will not turn 18 until April 19 and is therefore ineligible to compete in the
VALORANT Champions Tour, meaning he is expected to spend a few weeks on the bench. In exchange, Oasis would sign Michael
“whitecat” Yuzon from TS’s academy team, a player who notably featured at Ascension Pacific with Boom Esports last October.
This planned change comes at a time when Team Secret are still struggling to find consistent success in
VCT Pacific. After a solid 2024 campaign, finishing just shy of the podium, 2025 proved far more challenging, with a Top 9-12 at Kickoff, a Top 11-12 in Stage 1, and a Top 9-10 in Stage 2. Despite being one of the four organizations that joined the VCT at its launch, Secret have yet to qualify for an international LAN, aside from LOCK//IN São Paulo, where all partnered teams competed.
The start of 2026 has not brought much improvement, as the team finished Top 11-12 once again. They first lost to Nongshim RedForce in the winner bracket, then to Detonation FocusMe in the middle bracket, before taking a single map off ZETA DIVISION in the lower bracket. The Japanese side ultimately bounced back and secured the win, eliminating TS from Kickoff. During the offseason, Secret brought in two new additions, Kim "TenTen" Tae-young and Rizkie "BerserX" Adla Kusuma, but the changes were not enough to shift the team’s trajectory. The organization also reinstated Jessie Cristy "JessieVash" Cuyco as in-game leader, a role he had stepped away from in March 2025 following another difficult start to the season.
It is within this context that Zeus is expected to join the roster, with Stage 2 as a potential starting point for his VCT Pacific debut. Active in Challengers Philippines with Oasis since 2025, he has mainly played Duelists, particularly Waylay at the start of this year. He is also close to helping his current team qualify for Challengers Southeast Asia, the main regional league leading to Ascension, should they secure a win in the upcoming lower bracket final of the Philippines qualifier.
