Sentinels will round out their staff by appointing Mervin-Angelo “
Dayos” Lachica as their
League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Assistant Coach, sources reveal to
Sheep Esports. Dayos will team with former 100 Thieves
coach Grayson “Goldenglue” Gilmer as both try to push SEN’s potential to the roof.
Dayos has experience in an LCS team’s coaching staff, where he served as the System’s Coach for Immortals in 2023. His time in IMT wasn’t as fruitful as expected, as they finished 9th and 10th in Spring and Summer, respectively.
Now that Dayos joins SEN, he will reunite with a familiar face,
midlaner Isaac “DARKWINGS” Chou. They shared time in WCG and WIN in 2024 and will have to use this preexisting synergy to break all expectations.
Back on the Grind
After his time in IMT, Dayos joined Saint Louis University’s collegiate program, where he led them to the 2024 College League of Legends Championship. In parallel with his collegiate commitments, the Canadian also coached WildCard Gaming and Winthrop University in the North American Challengers League (NACL).
For 2025, Luminosity Gaming called his number, and Dayos knocked it out of the park. LG dominated NACL and captured both championships, breezing their way into the LCS 2026 Promotion. Unfortunately for him, Disguised was able to defend their guest slot with a convincing 3-1 victory in the qualification match.
After his time in LG, Dayos was invited to a combine organized by SIDO.gg and DarkZero Dragonsteel at FlyQuest's facilities. This event was aimed at highlighting up-and-coming amateur players and coaches.
