Just like in
VALORANT and
League of Legends,
Sheep Esports is able, through its sources, to reveal the roster that will represent Belgium on
Rocket League at the
Esports Nations Cup. For Belgium,
Benjamin "Eversax" Wagner, the national Head Coach and currently serving in the same role for Team Vitality, has selected well-known RLCS circuit players such as Yanis
"Alpha54" Champenois and Tristan
"Atow." Soyez. The duo is expected to be completed by Jovinson
"rysfox." Frankinioulle from Team BSK.
Scheduled to take place in Riyadh from November 3 to 8, the competition is expected to feature 48 different nations, similar to what FIFA has already been doing on Rocket League since 2024. In addition to their respective teams, the trio already represents Belgium in the FIFAe Nations League, a competition currently underway and set to run until the end of the year. Atow and rysfox had already played together under the Belgian banner in 2025 during the second edition of the FIFAe World Cup, where they finished in the Top 5-8. Atow, who has played for Karmine Corp since early 2024, had already represented Belgium at the inaugural edition the previous year, securing the same placement.
Most likely a direct invitation for Belgium
This year will, however, mark a first for Alpha54, who had never previously competed at the
FIFAe World Cup, but did take part in the Intel World Open in 2021, a competition held alongside the Tokyo Olympic Games and organized by Intel, one of the tournament’s sponsors. At the time, due to COVID, the international finals never took place and Alpha54, representing France, only won the European qualifier after defeating the Netherlands in the grand final. World Champion with Team Vitality in 2023, the French-Belgian player is therefore expected to represent a second country during his competitive career.
With 48 teams set to attend, the number of available spots is naturally significant, and half of those teams will receive direct invitations through a points system established by the Esports Foundation, which oversees the tournament’s organization. Depending on the events where players achieve strong results, with the Boston and Paris Majors awarding the highest amount of points, nations can hope to qualify directly without going through the continental qualifiers.
That is expected to be the case for Belgium, largely thanks to Atow —
who just won Paris Major — and the points earned by Karmine Corp, as well as the additional points collected by rysfox. Behind those 24 invited nations, the remaining 24 spots will be decided through seven continental qualifiers, with the final three slots handed out by the organizers as Wildcards.
