Twenty-two days after announcing that their support for the upcoming season would be Kuo "
Orca" Cheng-han,
CTBC Flying Oyster have ultimately reversed course and parted ways with the player. In a post published this Thursday morning, the organization cited a "
current model not optimal for either party to perform at their best." As a result, the team decided to terminate the player’s contract to allow him the opportunity to join another organization.
With only a week remaining before the start of the
LCP season, Orca will nevertheless join
Ground Zero Gaming,
the new LCP organization replacing TALON. As confirmed this Thursday on their respective social media platforms, the decision takes effect immediately.
Selected last month to replace TALON following its departure due to financial difficulties, Ground Zero had already announced its intention to rebuild the roster entirely for the upcoming season. The changes therefore began this Thursday with the arrival of Orca, along with new Head Coach John "Skywalk" Wong and AD Carry Chao "Shunn" Ying-shun. The remainder of the lineup is expected to be revealed in the coming days, with the season set to resume on January 16.
