League of Legends? The team’s current roster is expected to change in the coming days. The news first came from the team’s support player,
, who indicated on Thursday that he was looking for a new project following the organization “
decided to stop with the current roster”.
Later that evening, the team’s jungler
also announced that he had been granted permission to explore his options for the remainder of the season, as had assistant coaches Emre “
HirumaY” Çetin and Clément “
Nalkya” Guillemard. The announcement came even as the team remains active in the
TCL, where they secured their second victory of the Spring Split yesterday.
At the start of the season, Misa Esports had assembled a powerful lineup that was widely considered one of the strongest in the ERL ecosystem, dominating the Turkish league in convincing fashion. Joined by Stend, who replaced
ahead of the
EMEA Masters, the team appeared just as formidable and ultimately reached the lower-bracket final of the tournament.
Facing
in a series that would have secured them a place in the grand final as well as qualification for the
EWC EMEA Qualifier, Misa Esports initially led the matchup 2–0 before being reverse-swept by the LFL champions. The defeat represents a major disappointment for the organization, which had aimed to achieve a strong result on the ERL stage and against LEC-affiliated teams in order to elevate the prestige of the TCL. The league has faced increasing difficulties in recent times, with several organizations leaving due to an environment considered insufficiently sustainable for teams.
The future of the remaining players on the roster remains uncertain for now. AD carry
is expected to join
Team Heretics in the near future after the Spanish organization signed him following the LEC Versus, but allowed him to continue the season with Misa, at least through the Spring Split. Misa Esports CEO Ziyad Misali has yet to formally comment on the changes within the
League of Legends division, though he stated after the defeat to Solary: “
After this, I have no stronger card left to play for TCL. It didn’t work out, I couldn’t do it.”
