LCS Summer Split 2026 Team of the week 1

The opening week of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Summer Split has just finished, and teams are right back at competing after a hectic summer following MSI and EWC.

The offseason featured a few roster changes, and the teams are ready to start the third split of the year on the right foot, a crucial step towards securing a playoff spot and qualification for the final international tournament of the calendar year, Worlds. After the first round of best-of-three matches, Sheep Esports has chosen five players who performed above the rest during this first week.

Sheep Esports' Team of the Week, limited to a maximum of two players per team, features toplaner Ibrahim "" Allami, jungler Jonathan "" Armao, midlaner Lim "" Hyeon-seung, AD Carry Sean "" Sung, and support Tristan "" Stidam. In recognition of his outstanding performances, Quid has been named our Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the week.

For Game 2, the Mexican organization had to fight to secure a comeback victory, which Armao’s Xin Zhao started. A well-timed invade at the enemy’s Red buff followed by an electric Baron fight guaranteed the returning jungler’s spot on Sheep Esports Team of the Week.

's midlaner had one of the toughest tasks of the week: facing 's seven-man roster. Though early in the season, the first week of the LCS had a high-stakes match for the summer playoffs, and Quid showed he was as cool as the breeze. The Korean brought out the first-ever Locke in LCS history and had an otherworldly performance over the returning Lee “" Sang-min. Game 2 saw him play Syndra for the first time in his LCS career, and he proved to be C9’s darkest nightmares with accurate stuns, which earned him our MVP award.

The second returning player to feature on the team of the week, Zeyzal last featured during LTA’s Split 1, over 533 days ago. However, his leadership, shotcalling, and decisiveness seemed to be exactly what the Rebels needed to turn their 2026 season around. Camille was the pick for Game 1, and thanks to flawless target selection and proactive decisions, Shopify Rebellion won a back-and-forth game. For Game 2, the Best Beard in Esports and Nautilus finished Game 2 with 88% kill participation, one singular death, and the victory in his pocket.
