. After a disappointing LCK Cup, the 2025 Worlds finalists have made a flawless start to their LCK Season, claiming their third straight victory this Thursday. Following prestigious wins over
You've been keeping up the undefeated streak. Could you share your thoughts on today's victory?
Mun "Cuzz" U-chan: "Well, Nongshim was running in first place, and their performance watching the games seemed really strong, so I thought it was going to be really tough. But again today, we overcame this difficult challenge, and I'm here doing an interview again, so I'm very happy.
Along with your overall evaluation of today's match, what do you think was the key to victory?
Cuzz: In the early game, we were in a somewhat disadvantageous position at times. This might sound like bragging, of course it's my job, but I think I managed to handle the game well, and I also think everyone really shined together in the teamfights.
In Game 1 of the last match, the poking composition using champions like Zoe, Ezreal, and Jayce was impressive. Did you prepare anything special for today's match as well?
Cuzz: Each team has such different characteristics. We always prepare our picks specifically for the opposing team, and today I think we prepared compositions with strong teamfighting, things like that.
After the LCK Cup, what feedback was exchanged within the team, and could you share any goals you've set with the team for this LCK season?
Cuzz: I think everyone has kind of forgotten about the LCK Cup by now. When Effort joined, and we were building synergy together, it was heavily a botlane meta — it still is — botlane influence was enormous in the meta. So we spent most of our feedback time on that area, and fortunately, it was well received, and that's how we've been able to keep this winning streak going.
In terms of game management and team synergy, what positive changes do you think Effort's addition has brought?
Cuzz: Effort's fundamentals are really solid, so we don't have to worry about the basics with him, and when we discuss things like teamfighting, he's very receptive and has a great personality, so yes, we were able to get on the same page quickly.
Given that there have been changes in the botlane, how far along would you say the team synergy has come?
Cuzz: As for team synergy, even though it's a botlane meta, we still argue with the botlane every feedback session, [laughs], so I think there's still a long way to go, maybe about 60%? I think we need to keep improving.
's Mundo play at Worlds last year. Have you been watching the recent First Stand matches as well, and was there anything that stood out to you?
Cuzz: Recently, he's been trying out various picks, and seeing him beat Gen.G, I took a lot of notes from that. That said, LCK has its own style, so I'll need to pay a lot more attention to that later if there's an international tournament.
Lastly, is there anything you'd like to say to your international fans?
Cuzz: I'm always grateful to those cheering from overseas, and I hope to see you at an international event. We'll be cheering for you so we can definitely see that happen.”
