Esports World Cup 2026 confirms Paris venue and updated tournament schedule

As previously revealed by Sheep Esports when the move of the Esports World Cup from Riyadh to Paris was announced, the event will take place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, as confirmed by the organization this Wednesday, May 27. Already used to hosting large-scale events of this kind, the venue is expected to host all 25 competitions featured in this 2026 edition of the EWC, with between three and four games running simultaneously each week across seven weeks.

The event, which is expected to begin on July 6, will therefore conclude as planned on August 23, although some games have seen their schedules extended or shortened by one day following the venue change and the new organization surrounding it. Dota 2, for example, is now expected to hold its final on July 19 instead of July 18, according to the statement sent by the Esports Foundation, the organization in charge of the event, when announcing ticket sales.

In addition to Dota 2, the same situation applies to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, with one extra day added at the end. However, the organizer has still not updated the start date on its website. As a result, it remains unclear whether the event duration has been extended or if the entire schedule for these games has simply been shifted forward.

The same applies to the women’s competition on Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Street Fighter 6, COD: Warzone, Tekken 8, Trackmania, and Crossfire. Rainbow Six Siege, on the other hand, is expected to conclude one day earlier than initially planned. Meanwhile, the scheduled end dates for the VALORANT and League of Legends tournaments remain unchanged.

Usually covering the final stages of several games, tickets will go on sale this Friday, May 29, although pricing details for the various ticket options and the exact launch time for sales have not yet been announced.
