The
Esports World Cup is a multi-title competition held from July 2 to August 23 in Paris, France, bringing together the world's top players and organizations across more than 20 esports titles. Alongside each game's standalone tournament and prize pool, participating organizations compete in the Club Championship, an overall ranking designed to crown the most successful club of the event.
The Club Championship is determined through a cumulative points system, with points awarded only for top-eight finishes in each tournament. Each organization can score points from only its highest-placing roster in a given title, even if it fields multiple entries.
Club Championship format
To be eligible for the Club Championship standings and prize pool, a club must record at least two top-eight finishes across
different tournaments. To win the title, however, it must also claim at least one tournament victory. If multiple clubs finish level on points for first place, ties are broken first by the number of tournament wins, then second-place finishes, and so on, before head-to-head results if necessary.
The points awarded vary depending on the title. Most tournaments reward the winner with 1,000 points, followed by 750, 500, 300, and 200 points for fifth through eighth place. Battle royale titles instead award points to every top-eight finish on a descending scale of 1,000, 750, 500, 300, 200, 150, 100, and 50, while Teamfight Tactics uses a separate format, awarding 200 points to both fifth and sixth place and 100 points to both seventh and eighth.
A total of $27 million will be distributed among the top 24 clubs in the Club Championship, with $7 million awarded to the overall champion. The 2026 edition is the first Esports World Cup to be held outside Saudi Arabia after being
relocated to Paris, France.
