are quietly building momentum. A three-match, six-game win streak, the biggest in the organization’s history, a top-side duo that looks increasingly dangerous, and a jungler who just picked up Player of the Match (POM).
After today's 2-0 against
,
sat down with
Sheep Esports to break down his calculated Trundle first-pick in Game 2, the early gank that blew the game open, and what it's like watching his rookie teammates outperform his own debut year. With a revenge match against
on the horizon, the confidence is real.
You’re on a three-game winning streak and earned Player of the Match. How does it feel?
Kim "GIDEON" Min-seong: "It feels really great that we've kept the win streak going, and I'm happy I got to pick up POM too.
How would you evaluate today's series, and what was the key to the win?
Gideon: I think I played pretty well today, and my teammates all stepped up too, so we were able to win.
The Trundle first-pick in Game 2 surprised everyone. What were you targeting in the draft?
Gideon: In Game 1, Nocturne and Pantheon were already off the table, and we also banned Jarvan on suspicion. So if I first-pick Xin Zhao, they can counter it with Trundle, and I really don't like being in that position. So I think I just went with Trundle first.
That early top gank in Game 2 was surgical. Calculated or instinct?
Gideon: It was calculated.
called out that there was no jungle vision ward, and I figured Vi would have warded blue, so I went around through lane instead.
BRO Gideon's smart pathing
Things went a bit sideways mid-game in Game 2. What happened?
Gideon: Seraphine ult came out pretty easily, so it was a timing where we were pushing, but I think I'd need to review the VOD to be sure. There were some mistakes there.
If you could go back, what would you do differently?
Gideon: That's something we'll work out through feedback, I think.
Game 1 was jungle carry, Game 2 was top carry. How's your form, and how do you see Casting's growth?
Gideon: For me personally, I think I can do even better, and I will going forward. We have a lot of rookies on our team, and when I was a rookie, I didn’t think I was that good. They're really impressive, and I'm grateful. I just hope we can keep winning together going forward.
Gideon: Roamer definitely does a good job looking out for my side of the map, whereas Loki is more like “let's go aggressive”. But I'm the type who likes to take the lead myself, so I think Roamer supports me well in that regard.
BRION's macro and teamfight focus look way more solid than early season. What's changed?
Gideon: We've been giving good feedback on how to fix the games where we fall behind and need to come back. As for macro, it was actually solid in practice, but mistakes kept showing up on stage, so we just kept polishing it.
Clean stomp or scrappy comeback: which do you prefer?
Gideon: As a player, I prefer clean, controlled games like Game 1.
After the win against , the momentum's been rolling. What's the team focusing on to keep it going?
Gideon: We're trying to keep our macro clean with as few mistakes as possible, and everyone's constantly thinking about what they could've done better. The whole team's been grinding it out together, so I think we're doing a good job studying those areas.
The Nongshim revenge match is coming up. How much stronger is the team now than last time?
Gideon: Our team literally has limitless potential, I believe, and I'm confident we'll keep getting better. We're going to beat NS, too.
Any message for the international fans?
Gideon: To our fans, thank you for always cheering for us. We've been on a winning streak lately, and I'll do my best to keep it going so our fans can always be happy."
