A new start for Karmine Corp?

He is back. After a year with Sentinels in the VCT Americas, Marshall "N4RRATE" Massey is set to re-join Karmine Corp for the remainder of the 2026 VALORANT Champions Tour season. The North American player is expected to replace Bogdan "Sheydos" Naumov, the In-Game Leader of the KC project since the start of the year, who was recently benched by the club, as Sheep Esports previously reported.
This information was first teased by Karmine Corp themselves and rumored by KC Aron on X, but was confirmed on Tuesday by sources who spoke with Sheep Esports. N4RRATE became Karmine Corp’s first option once his availability on the market was known, and an agreement was nearing completion last week, with the player expected to travel to Europe at the time.
N4RRATE was highly anticipated by the Blue Wall fans after a 2024 season in which he led the French organization to its first (and only) international VCT event and its first (and only) title during Kickoff, secured with a grand final victory over Team Heretics. Even though the story ended on a disappointing note, with the team failing to qualify for Champions 2024 in Seoul, the North American player now appears set to return to continue his journey with KCorp and finish an adventure that began more than two years ago.
What’s new, N4RRATE?
Arrived in the VCT Americas with Sentinels at the end of 2024, he quickly stacked up second-place finishes with the team. First at the SEN City Classic, an offseason tournament, before losing the grand final of the 2025 Kickoff to G2 Esports. Masters Bangkok thus became the first of three international appearances for N4RRATE and his teammates, setting the tone for the rest of the season. A disappointing top 7-8 followed after two losses in the Swiss Round, first to DRX and then to Team Liquid. Back in Los Angeles at the Americas league studio, Sentinels once again fell to G2 in the final, but still secured qualification for Toronto.
At the second Masters of the year, the North American organization managed a Top 5-6 finish, an encouraging result after making it out of the Swiss Round, but they were unable to keep up the pace in the playoffs. Ultimately, the final stage of the VCT Americas ended with a third-place finish. While they did not reach the grand final, the team still secured qualification for Champions Paris 2025. In France, Sentinels fell back into old habits and failed to pick up a single win in their group, losing back-to-back series against GIANTX and XLG Esports. At the start of 2026, and after three roster changes, the club completely failed to get going at Kickoff, not winning a single map and being eliminated after three straight losses.
Changes were needed
He is now expected to join Karmine Corp, who more or less went through the same experience at this Kickoff with a similar top 9-10 finish. The club of Kamel “Kamet0” Kebir, which also made three changes during the offseason, started with two losses against Natus Vincere and Team Liquid before bouncing back in the lower bracket with a narrow win over FUT Esports. In the end, the French organization saw its Masters Bangkok run come to an end after a loss in the following round to Team Heretics.
While KCorp could have hoped to regain momentum at the EMEA Clash, a new competition ahead of VCT Stage 1 featuring both Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams, nothing went as planned. Defeated in their opening match by the Turkish side FUT, the BlueWall never found their footing and were eliminated by Enterprise Esports and their former player Martin "Magnum" Peňkov in a clean 2-0 sweep.
