The
LFL Super Week has just ended, and
Ici Japon Corp comes out as the big winner, going 4 for 4 in their games and fully reigniting their Spring Split run. At the top of the standings,
Joblife now stands alone as the league leader.
After starting the
LFL Days last week with two losses, there were questions about whether the fairytale run of IJC was already over. Not at all. They bounced back in style, emerging as the top team of the super week by crushing
Vitality.Bee on Friday—who themselves had won three straight games earlier in the week.
The biggest surprise of the split so far is Joblife's explosive start. They currently lead the league with 5 wins out of 6 matches. Their showing at the Flash-In tournament, where they only managed to beat
Gameward twice, gave little indication of such a strong start. Coming straight from Div2, they were late to the transfer market and ended up building a roster of relatively unknown players to the French audience. That only makes their rise even more impressive and their growing strength even more remarkable.
However, the journey is far from over. Next week, Joblife will face three teams close behind them in the standings with four wins each:
BK ROG (who comfortably beat
BDSA), IJC, and
Solary, who also had a strong start to the season but stumbled against
Gentle Mates—who finally caught a break at the bottom of the table.
It’s now time for a short break. The LFL returns next Wednesday with another three-day run of matches to close out the Spring Split's seeding phase. As a reminder, the top eight teams from this phase will advance to the Swiss Stage, while the bottom two will drop directly into the Last Chance Qualifier of the Playoffs stage.
