So, you’ve opened your
League of Legends client, discovered the neat little
Demacia Rising minigame, and now you’re hooked. There’s just one problem: you’ve run out of
Silver Shields and your kingdom-building ambitions have come to a screeching halt. Tragic, but fixable!
Released on January 9, 2026,
Demacia Rising is a turn-based city-building minigame that
runs throughout the For Demacia season,
ending with patch 26.09 on April 29, 2026. That’s a long runtime, which means you’ll need to keep coming back patch after patch to unlock new objectives and progress through
The Founding of Demacia storyline. And yes, that means farming Silver Shields.
How to Earn Silver Shields in Demacia Rising
Let’s start with the bad news: you’re going to have to actually play League of Legends (or TFT). Quite a bit, in fact. Silver Shields are primarily earned through in-game objectives tied to playing matches. Winning helps, but simply playing is often enough. Here’s every current way to earn Silver Shields:
- Daily Objective: Win 1, or play 2 games of LoL or TFT — 300 Silver Shields
- Weekly Objective: Play 3 games of LoL or TFT — 1,000 Silver Shields
- Weekly Objective: Play 5 games of LoL or TFT — 1,250 Silver Shields
- Weekly Objective: Play 7 games of LoL or TFT — 1,500 Silver Shields
- Recurring Objective: Play 60 minutes of LoL or TFT — 150 / 300 Silver Shields
(Doubled if you own the battle pass!) - One-Time Objective: Play 1 game of TFT — 500 Silver Shields
Can You Earn Silver Shields Without Playing?
If you truly do not want to play League of Legends, there are, of course, other ways to buy your way into more turns.
Additionally, starting with patch 26.02, purchasing some of the latest skins released with the For Demacia season will award Silver Shields as follows:
- 3,000 Silver Shields — Epic skins
(Demacian Nautilus, Aegis Frame Ornn, Battle Professor Samira, Battle Academia Briar) - 5,000 Silver Shields — Legendary skin
(Aegis Frame Galio) - 10,000 Silver Shields — Exalted skin
(Revenant Reign Viego)
TL;DR – How to Get Silver Shields Fast
At the end of the day, the simplest and most reliable way to earn Silver Shields in Demacia Rising is… to actually play League of Legends (or TFT). Focus on completing your daily objectives, like winning a game or playing two matches, and don’t forget the weekly ones, which reward Shields for playing three, five, or seven games. Spending a little time on the recurring objective — an hour of gameplay — also stacks up, and if you’ve picked up the battle pass, that reward is doubled.
If you’re not feeling like grinding, you can also pick up some of the newest For Demacia skins, which grant large chunks of Silver Shields depending on their rarity, from Epic to Exalted. But ultimately, logging in, playing your games, and ticking off those daily and weekly tasks is the fastest, most consistent way to keep your kingdom growing and your Silver Shield stash healthy.
What's next?
Currently, there are no other ways to earn Silver Shields, though Riot may decide to add additional methods in future patches. As a key date for fans of Demacia Rising, the current Act I of the minigame will end on March 4, 2026, coinciding with the arrival of Act II of the overall season in patch 26.05. When the patch lands, the next chapter of the minigame, titled Threats from Beyond, will begin alongside broader changes to the base game itself.
