ZOWIE has officially announced the launch of its new XQ Series esports monitors, featuring the
XQ2566X and XQ2766X models. Designed specifically for Battle Royale competitions, this new lineup aims to address the unique requirements of games such as PUBG, Apex Legends, and Fortnite, where long-range visibility and the ability to track moving targets have become essential factors.
Unlike traditional competitive 5v5 FPS titles, which often revolve around close-range encounters in more confined environments, Battle Royale games introduce different challenges. Players must identify distant opponents, analyse large open areas, and maintain accuracy in situations where fights can develop rapidly. To meet these demands, ZOWIE introduces a combination of QHD resolution, a 360 Hz refresh rate, and its new DyAc 3 technology, designed to improve motion clarity and reduce blur when tracking targets.
A first look at Cologne
Before its official announcement,
ZOWIE invited the
Sheep Esports team to experience and test its new XQ monitor ahead of its public release during the
Counter-Strike Major in Cologne. This private session provided the opportunity to directly test the display and observe the improvements brought by this new generation of technology developed for competitive esports environments.

Through this experience, media members and content creators were able to discover the differences introduced by the Fast TN QHD panel, DyAc 3 technology, and ZOWIE’s newly developed colour filter. This approach also highlights the brand’s commitment to continuing its collaboration with competitive gaming stakeholders to develop products that align with the practical needs of professional players.
A monitor designed to enhance Battle Royale visibility
One of the key innovations of the XQ Series lies in its Color Filter, developed through ZOWIE’s research into the specific situations encountered in Battle Royale games. In these titles, gas zones and shrinking circles can create colour overlays that make opponents more difficult to identify.
This new filter aims to reduce these visual distractions while maintaining a natural representation of the environment. The objective is to improve the separation between characters and their surroundings, allowing players to recognise targets more quickly during critical moments.
Five-time FNCS champion Tayson also took part in a product testing session at ZOWIE’s facilities, bringing his experience as a professional Fortnite player to highlight the specific requirements of competitive Battle Royale gameplay.
A design built for professional tournaments
Beyond display performance, ZOWIE has also focused on the practical aspects of using its monitor in competitive environments. The XQ Series features ZOWIE Sync, an application that allows players to quickly load display profiles, as well as the NFC Tap-to-Share function, which enables seamless synchronisation of settings between compatible monitors.
The monitor also includes an integrated G Sensor capable of accurately detecting the screen’s tilt and position, while its industrial stand allows precise height and angle adjustments. The brand is also retaining its magnetic quick-installation shield, designed to simplify setup and reduce the risk of damage during tournament transportation.
Two formats designed for different player preferences
The XQ Series will be available in two versions: the XQ2566X, featuring a 24.1-inch panel, and the XQ2766X, equipped with a 27-inch display. Both models offer a 360 Hz refresh rate and benefit from ZOWIE’s continued improvements to its Fast TN technology. This new generation also introduces Vivid Colour Film on its QHD models, aiming to maintain consistent colour reproduction while preserving the performance expected of competitive players. Combined with DyAc 3, this technology is designed to deliver improved motion clarity and greater precision in scenarios where every visual detail can influence the outcome of an engagement.

The ZOWIE XQ2566X is expected to become available in Europe during the first half of the second part of 2026, while the XQ2766X will follow later in the year. The announced recommended retail prices are €949 for the XQ2566X and €1,199 for the XQ2766X. With this new series, ZOWIE aims to expand its long-standing expertise in competitive FPS gaming into the evolving Battle Royale market, offering a monitor designed around the specific challenges of open environments, long-range fights, and constant target tracking.
