Ominous" Jha is expected to join the staff of TYLOO, still within
VCT China, as an analyst, sources tell
Sheep Esports. After a more than difficult start to the 2026 season, Wolves took advantage of the break before Stage 2 to part ways with Jordan "
jowa" Wang and his coaching staff.
That means Hoc Wah "
Fayde" Chong, the Head Coach of the project since late 2024, and Viernes "
Maark" Benette, the Assistant Coach who joined during 2025, are both out. Ominous therefore becomes the third staff member to be let go, quickly finding a new home with TYLOO, one of the few organizations in the
VALORANT Champions Tour circuit yet to qualify for an international event since joining VCT CN.
A positive momentum
Never at the very bottom, but always stuck around the middle of the standings, TYLOO notably secured multiple Top 5-8 finishes in 2025 during the China Evolution Series, after placing Top 9-12 at both Kickoff and Stage 1, before eventually reaching a Top 5-6 finish in Stage 2. The 2026 season followed a similar trend for the Chinese organization, starting with a sixth-place finish at Kickoff after posting a positive 4-3 record. The club then came within one match of winning its first title, falling to Bilibili Gaming in the grand final of Evolution Series 2026 Act 1.
That strong form continued into Stage 1, although TYLOO still failed to secure either a podium finish or even a Top 4. After making it out of groups with a 3-2 record, the Chinese side defeated Dragon Ranger Gaming in the Seed Deciders to qualify for the playoffs through the upper bracket. However, against JD Gaming, TYLOO could not keep up, losing the series 2-1 and dropping to the lower bracket. With their backs against the wall, they first defeated Titan Esports Club 2-1 before being eliminated in the following round by All Gamers, the surprise team of Masters Santiago.
TYLOO are now looking to take that extra step forward by adding a new analyst. Previously part of Bleed Esports, where the team won Ascension Pacific 2023 before the organization eventually disappeared,
Ominous later joined Wolves alongside Fayde ahead of the 2025 season. With the Chinese organization, the Nepali-Qatari analyst was notably part of the squad’s impressive run at Masters Toronto 2025, where Wolves managed to secure a surprise third-place finish.
