According to our LCS Power Rankings,
LYON is coming into the
2026 LCS Lock-In as the clear favorite to win it all. Visa issues have pushed the Mexican organization to acquire Niship “
Dhokla” Doshi at the last minute, yet their goal remains the same: championships and international appearances. Head Coach Kim “
Reignover” Yeu-jin shared with
Sheep Esports the
League of Legends style he will infuse on his team, working alongside Kang “
Saint” Sung-in, and
the positive impact Kacper "Inspired" Słoma has during reviews.
Owner Carlos "Biblos" Gibran placed hefty expectations on LYON at least one championship and two international appearances. What are your personal expectations coming into 2026?
Kim "Reignover" Yeu-jin: I want to attend every international tournament. We want to win everything, but this is just the beginning of this iteration of LYON. Some of our short-term goals are to match our thought process and share the same vision as a team.
Is LYON the team with the most pressure coming into LCS?
Reignover: I’m not the type of coach who thinks about pressure. I’m more focused on my team playing well. If we’re playing to the standard our roster should be held to, I can be content with the result we finish. Great results will naturally follow if we focus on our performance.
Why do you think Inspired chose to join LYON?
Reignover: Inspired liked the aggressive players on the roster we assembled. These players are really motivated to perform well. LYON is looking to perform on the international stage, which aligns with the goal every player and coach on the team has.
LYON revealed you were eager to coach Saint. Why is Saint a special player?
Reignover: I am really eager to spend time coaching Saint! Playing against Saint in 2025, you could see some of his unlocked potential. He is such an aggressive player, but it was difficult for him to show his skill due to a myriad of reasons. If I can tap into his hidden talent, he can be one of the best mid laners in the LCS. So far, I’m very happy working with him, and I am eager to see what he brings to stage games.
Inspired is known for being a passionate and intense leader. How hard is it for you as a coach to manage a voice like his for reviews?
Reignover: It is very positive that players can provide feedback directly to coaches and each other. Successful teams tend to have a person with this quality. I am very happy Inspired can fulfill this role. To manage a team like this, a lot of preemptive communication is needed.
A situation can arise when you let problems stack up. We must ensure nothing is kept inside our chests. The key our team's good direction having the skill to manage the players’ communication by keeping it flowing before anything can accumulate.
Isles was the most talked-about addition to the team, though Berserker was the one advocating for him. Why will this duo succeed?
Reignover: The main reason Berserker wanted to play with Isles, though minimal, is their previous experience together. Isles is motivated to perform and is a hard worker. He is probably one of the players in the LCS who practices the most. When I watch him play, he is a very aggressive player. If your base point when learning League of Legends is aggression, it is possible to learn how to tune it down to perfection, whereas teaching aggression to an otherwise safe player is a complicated hurdle. Those are some reasons we picked up Isles and why he will do well with us.
Finally, some rapid fire questions. You haven't been a Head Coach for a couple of years. Are you excited to become the Head Coach of this team?
Reignover: I was Head Coach for C9 and I won a championship! It’s going to be very fun, and I am very excited about the upcoming season.
Inspired's FlyQuest were considered the villains of the league. Is LYON the new villain of the leagues?
Reignover: I don't think we will be villains, but I can assure we'll play the most aggressive style.
Any thoughts on your match against DIG?
Reignover: I don’t care who we play, as long as we play good League of Legends.
Any message to the fans?
Reignover: I’m very thankful for all the fans. I will give my best effort to demonstrate our constant improvement as a team. Hopefully, we polish our performance for the important days. I hope to make LYON fans happy with our play.
