The South Korean organization
T1 officially announced on Wednesday the staging of two new “Home Ground” events for 2026, as part of the LCK Road Show program. This specific format allows the organization to host regular season
League of Legends matches outside the traditional
LoL Park, fully embracing its role as the home team in large-scale venues.
The 2026 calendar is structured around two sessions held across South Korea. The first event will take place from April 24 to 26, 2026, at the Inspire Arena in Incheon, a multipurpose complex with a capacity of 15,000 seats. The second session is scheduled from August 14 to 16, 2026, at Seoul’s iconic Olympic venue, the KSPO Dome.
After
a second edition in July 2025 that brought together more than 30,000 fans at the Incheon Inspire Arena, following an initial event at the Goyang Sono Arena in 2024, T1 is now set to accelerate the pace with two events in a single year. This expansion of the LCK Road Show builds upon the foundation laid during
the inaugural 2025 event, where the league first piloted its decentralized format at the Suwon Convention Center.
A future Home Ground in Vegas?
Beyond the sporting aspect, T1 COO Josh Woongki Ahn recently highlighted the vital importance of these events for the organization’s growth in an interview published by Chosun Money and relayed by Sheep Esports. He explained that the “Home Ground” format generated between $1.4 million and $2 million in ticketing revenue during previous editions, stating that they were a success and that they “achieved quite good sales.”
T1’s strategy also includes an international expansion of the concept. The COO expressed his ambition to organize a “Home Ground” event at the Sphere in Las Vegas within the next few years, with the ultimate goal of building the organization’s own stadium to secure full commercial autonomy.
A new model for Riot and teams
This South Korean initiative is part of a broader global trend toward regionalization, also seen in Europe. For the 2026 season, the LEC announced a major expansion of its Road Show experience. The European league will host
five three-day events in partnership with local clubs. Movistar KOI will host three stops in Spain, in Barcelona and Madrid, while Karmine Corp will organize two events in France, in their own stadium in Évry-Courcouronnes and in a second city yet to be confirmed.
Notably, the first French Roadtrip at the Arènes d’Évry will take place from April 24 to 26, 2026, simultaneously with T1’s first event in Incheon. This collaborative model between publisher Riot Games and its partner organizations aims to increase the number of competition days held outside the studio throughout the year, strengthening the local presence of professional teams worldwide while offering them additional revenue streams.
