Still one of the very few clubs in the
VALORANT Champions Tour ecosystem that has never qualified for an international LAN event, including Masters and Champions, Team Secret continues to search for answers. With
VCT Pacific set to resume in mid-July for the Philippine organization, the team has reportedly reached verbal agreements with Tidus "
STYRON" Goh and Jonathan "
naTz" Adiputra for its active roster, alongside Peter "
Spin" Bradford as head coach.
Having never qualified for an international event since the launch of the current VCT format, Team Secret clearly has not found the right formula in 2026. The lack of direction was already apparent at the start of the season with the return of Jessie Cristy "JessieVash" Cuyco as the team's in-game leader, despite having stepped away from competitive play in mid-2025.
Still no success
That return to competition did not translate into strong results. Defeated in succession by Nongshim RedForce, Detonation FocusMe, and ZETA DIVISION, Team Secret exited Kickoff early with a Top 11-12 finish. The disappointing result prompted roster changes, with the departure of Kim "TenTen" Tae-young and the arrivals of Jhian "Zeus" Vega and Dwine "Rimuru" Gatchalian Enriquez.
Stage 1 went slightly better, highlighted by a win over Gen.G in the group stage, but it was still not enough to secure a playoff berth, a stage of the competition the team has not reached since Stage 2 of 2024. Having returned at the beginning of 2026, JessieVash ultimately decided to once again step away from competitive play ahead of the next split.
Role-by-role changes
The IGL position is therefore expected to be filled by STYRON, who is not the only change coming to Team Secret. naTz is set to replace Rizkie "BerserX" Adla Kusuma, while Jose "Rbtx" Jamir is expected to be moved aside from his coaching role and replaced by Spin as head coach. The move also aligns with the players' respective roles, with STYRON primarily playing Initiators, while naTz operates between Controllers and Sentinels, similarly to BerserX.
Having previously worked together at Motiv in Challengers Southeast Asia during 2025, STYRON and Spin are now set to reunite on this project after a productive year with the Singaporean organization. Together, the duo won Split 2 of the league before reaching the Split 3 playoffs. Those results secured them a place at Ascension Pacific, where they finished fourth after losing to Nongshim RedForce in the lower bracket semifinals.
Following that campaign, STYRON moved to China to join the Bilibili Gaming academy team while continuing to compete in VCL SEA, notably during Split 2 of the 2026 season. Spin, meanwhile, remained with Motiv and continued to find success, including another Southeast Asia Split 2 title. Having spent much of his career in Europe, including time in VCL France, he has also experienced VALORANT's highest level, serving first as assistant coach and later as head coach of Global Esports between 2023 and 2024.
Having competed across several projects in Asia,
naTz notably made a name for himself in 2025 with the academy roster of Rex Regum Qeon, a stint that opened the door to Boom Esports. With the Indonesian organization, he competed at Ascension 2025 but was unable to help the team retain its place in the ecosystem, resulting in BOOM's relegation after its season in VCT Pacific. He nevertheless remained with the organization and is now set to experience
VALORANT's highest level for the first time in the coming weeks with Team Secret.
