will indeed make a roster change ahead of the
2026 LEC Summer Split. After trialing with the team during the
EWC EMEA Qualifier, midlaner
will officially join the roster for the remainder of the season, sources tell
Sheep Esports. He will replace
, who has occupied the position since the beginning of the year.
This will mark SlowQ’s first appearance in the LEC. The Korean-Swedish midlaner has shown significant progression over the past few years and now sees his efforts rewarded following a series of strong performances in the ERL ecosystem. SK Gaming are hoping to find greater stability through his arrival after two disappointing campaigns this season, having failed to qualify for the playoffs in both the LEC Versus and the Spring Split.
Last year, SlowQ competed for
in the
LFL, where he reached a new peak within the ERL scene by winning both the LFL and the
EMEA Masters Summer. He then joined
at the beginning of the year and went on to deliver a high-level season in the
TCL as well as at the EMEA Masters. Unfortunately, the Turkish organization ultimately finished third in the competition and failed to qualify for the EWC EMEA Qualifier. The team then decided to part ways with almost all its roster, including its midlaner.
In the end, SlowQ remained in the competition, but with another team. As he played for SK Gaming for the EWC EMEA Qualifier, SlowQ brought a degree of stability to the lineup, notably contributing to a victory over
while also helping the team remain competitive against
. SK Gaming was, however, heavily defeated by
afterward and eliminated from the competition. Despite that outcome, the organization still chose to retain the midlaner for the remainder of the year.
On the other side, this brings LIDER’s underwhelming LEC stint to a close. Returning to Europe’s top league at the start of the year as part of a project built around
, the Norwegian midlaner ultimately failed to establish himself despite the high expectations surrounding the roster. His final best-of-three in the LEC ended in a 2–1 defeat against
, in which he played Ekko, Yasuo, and Irelia, emblematic of his highly distinctive playstyle that ultimately struggled to find lasting success within the European league.
