The match between Los Ratones and G2 Esports has drawn the highest viewership in LEC Versus so far. These numbers cover only part of the 2026 regular season and could change as more games, and the Versus playoffs, take place.
According to Esports Charts the match reached
a peak of around 585K viewers, making it the most-watched LEC Versus game so far. Out of the 48 matches already played in the league,
LR features in four of the top five-viewed matches. The highest-viewed match not featuring the team is between Fnatic and Karmine Corp, reaching about 504K peak viewers.
Caedrel, the prime channel choice
LR’s popularity is spearheaded by its founder Marc Robert "Caedrel" Lamont—also the team’s coach—
whose channel is recorded amongst the most-watched LEC Versus streams. With peak viewers
around 253K and average viewers near 82K it is believed Caedrel’s is currently the prime channel choice for LEC fans.
By comparison,
the LEC Winter 2025 viewership was dominated by G2 matches, with the Grand Final against Karmine Corp peaking around 801K. While G2 remains a major draw, LR’s rise highlights how audience interest is expanding beyond established teams to include fan-favorite personalities.
Just by looking at the peak viewership of the first three weeks of the 2026 season it is evident the growth and change undergoing in the LEC. Peak viewership for top LEC Versus matches in 2026 is similar to Winter 2025, but co-streaming, community content, and personality-led broadcasts are increasingly important in driving numbers.
Echoes of 2025
Los Ratones’ popularity was also evident across the
2025 EMEA Masters, with strong viewership in all three splits. The team’s
most-watched match in Winter 2025—the grand final versus Ici Japon Corp. Esport—peaked at around 486K viewers. In Spring 2025
the top match was against Barça eSports and reached roughly 277K peak viewers, a decline of about 43% from the previous split.
And in Summer 2025,
LR’s match versus Karmine Corp Blue peaked near 265K, down a further 4% and totaling a
~46% drop in peak viewership numbers from Winter to Summer. Caedrel’s channel was the most popular channel across all splits for EMEA Masters 2025 as well, with peak viewership numbers of around 288K in Winter, 169K in Spring, and 127K in Summer.
If one were to just look at peak viewership numbers, they would indicate a decline over the year for LR’s popularity across EMEA Masters events, yet the LEC versus 2026 season shows the contrart. Furthermore, ERL tournaments generally attract smaller audiences compared to regional or international LoL Esports events—LR’s numbers in EMEA Masters are still to be considered impressive.
That is why, now that LR are competing in the LEC, their matches are drawing even higher viewership and reaching a broader audience, boosted further by Caedrel's co-streaming. So far this year the EMEA league seems more reliant than ever on its community to help engage fans and grow its reach. However, the season has just begun and it is yet to be seen whether the explosive start of the year for LR will translate in a constant growth.
