After a successful beta launch on June 12, Riot Games has revealed on Tuesday the next steps for
VALORANT Mobile. Available only in China for this testing phase, the mobile version is beginning to follow in the footsteps of the PC version of the game, whose beta launched in April 2020.
Starting July 17, Tencent and Riot will allow players who have access to the game to purchase a
first set of skins.
The game continues to break records, with
VALORANT Mobile having registered
over 40 million pre-registrations, according to official data released on July 4. In addition to this, Tencent, which handles the game in China, has already started unveiling part of the future competitive scene. They revealed that numerous in-game tournaments will be available and that a national competitive circuit is expected to launch locally in October.
Several tournaments have already taken place in China, notably involving influencers as well as some of the biggest esports organizations in the world, such as EDward Gaming, All Gamers, NOVA, Wolves Esports, and Tong Jia Bao.
