On Friday, Paper Rex became the first team to qualify for the VALORANT Masters Toronto grand final by disposing of Wolves Esports in the Upper bracket semifinals. On Lotus, the first map, the Pacific third seed snatched a 14-12 victory in a decisive final round. This one was notably marked by a 1v3 clutch from Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza with Fade, who concluded the round with four eliminations. On Ascent, PRX continued its momentum and won the map 13-8 with better control of the rotations.
The man of the match was Ahmad “D4v41” Khalish, with 26 eliminations and 10 assists on Lotus, which tipped the balance in PRX's favor and pulled off an insane Ace on Lotus. The final scores of the series were Lotus 14-12 and Ascent 13-8, thus qualifying for the final of the Masters Toronto 2025. This is the club's third international final, following the Masters Copenhagen in 2022 and the 2023 Champions, both of which they lost to FunPlus Phoenix and Evil Geniuses, respectively.
The match's MVP was Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov, with 47 eliminations, 29 deaths, and 17 assists (27/13/10 on Lotus, 20/16/7 on Split). Fnatic needed no extra time to win on both maps, illustrating tactical mastery. On 21 June, they will play against Wolves Esports for a place in
the grand final against Paper Rex. Both teams have performed well, but there is only one place left.
