Yusuf Emre "
Proxh" Tunc has reportedly convinced the
Gentle Mates management. Having joined M8 on loan on May 13 to compete in the
VALORANT Esports World Cup EMEA Qualifier, the Eintracht Frankfurt player is now expected, according to Sheep Esports sources, to be permanently transferred to the French team. The German-Turkish player has, based on our information, reached a verbal agreement to extend his stay under his new banner, which would grant him his first opportunity to compete in the
VCT EMEA.
Primarily a Controller main, Proxh arrived during a rebuilding phase for Gentle Mates, who had recently added
Maks "kamyk" Rychlewski and
Sylvain "Veqaj" Pattyn to their roster. Additional changes are expected before the launch of VCT EMEA Split 2, including the anticipated arrival of Berkcan "ComeBack" Şentürk,
as reported by Sheep Esports. These changes are deemed necessary after a disappointing start to the season—7th–8th place in the Kickoff and 11th–12th in Split 1. Unsurprisingly, the recent roster updates have yet to significantly alter the competitive hierarchy, and M8 failed to secure qualification for the Esports World Cup. The club fielded its new lineup, including Proxh, in four matches.
Proxh began his competitive career in early 2024 and notably helped his former team, NOVITA, secure promotion to the VCL DACH by winning the relegation tournament at the end of the previous season. This success allowed him to join the Challenger circuit this year with Eintracht Frankfurt. He reached the semifinals of the DACH Challengers Evolution in both splits, though his actual playtime remained limited. He ranked among the top players in Rating 2.0 during both splits—8th in Split 1 with a 1.16 and 4th in Split 2 with a 1.14—making him statistically the top-performing Controller across the league.
