With the
LoL Legends Match on CHZZK, which pitted historical figures from the European scene against equally accomplished former South Korean professionals, SOOP is now joining the lineup with
its own event. Building on the streaming platform’s
series of showmatches last year, which featured streamers competing against Thai and Vietnamese content creators, the platform has announced a new edition of the
2026 Cross Regional. This time, the event will feature a wide range of well-known French personalities facing off against prominent Korean creators, as well as former LCK champion
Song “Smeb” Kyung-ho.
The event will consist of two best-of-three showmatches, each featuring different lineups, scheduled to take place on June 21st and 22nd at 09:00 CET and 11:00 CET respectively. While the participants for the second day remain unknown, the roster for the opening day has now been revealed:
| Team South Korea A | Team France |
|---|
| Song "Smeb" Kyung-ho | Adam "Adam" Maanane |
| JustLikeThat | Ismaïl "ISMA" Boualem |
| Kwon "Jiin" Ji-in | Lucas "SAKEN" Fayard |
| Choi "Leaper" Gi-myeong | Jean "Jezu" Massol |
| Seunghoon | Jean "Trayton" Medzadourian |
French Legends
From a Western perspective, the balance of power appears to be firmly in France’s favor. While Korea’s lineup features the notable presence of
Smeb, a
former Worlds finalist and two-time LCK champion, the rest of the roster looks comparatively less experienced at the professional level. Although each member is individually strong, boasting high solo queue rankings and mechanical skill, only two have genuine competitive experience:
Jiin, who played in the Korean secondary circuit in 2019–2020, and
Leaper, who spent a single split with
in the LCK during Summer 2024 before stepping away from pro play.
JustLikeThat and
Seunghoon are primarily solo queue players and streamers. While individually talented, they may lack structured team play experience.
On the other hand, Team France’s lineup not only features four out of five players who are either currently competing in or have previously played in the LEC—one of whom has already competed internationally—but also TraYtoN, who brings several years of ERL experience prior to retiring to become a co-streamer and content creator.
The roster includes
, a toplaner known for his aggressive LEC stint and explosive playstyle;
, a jungler currently playing for GIANTX and proactive early-game focus;
, a midlaner with extensive competitive experience across ERLs and LEC appearances; and
, an ADC who has competed at the LEC level and in several LFL teams. In addition, all five players have previously played together in some capacity, coming from the same close-knit community and having a strong understanding of each other’s playstyles.
Nevertheless, the best-of-three promises to be explosive, and Europe may yet have reason to hope for another victory following CHZZK’s event earlier this month, where the region reverse-swept one of the two Korean representatives to come out on top and win the tournament.
Where to Watch and Cash Prize
Although the tournament will primarily attract French viewers, already following their players’ journey in Korea as part of TraYtoN’s Solo Queue Challenge: Korea—where participants attempt to reach the highest possible rank on Korean servers within a set timeframe—English-speaking viewers will also have the opportunity to tune in. In partnership with SOOP, current ENC UK coach and former LEC commentator Adam “Eragon” Harney will provide English commentary for the match on his
SOOP stream throughout the event.
While the prize pool is relatively modest this time around, teams will still need to fully commit if they hope to secure the larger share. In collaboration with Payletter, SOOP has allocated a total of ₩5,000,000 (approximately €2,847) across both days. However, only ₩1,000,000 (approximately €569) will be awarded on Day 1, with the losing team receiving half that amount. Additionally, ₩500,000 (approximately €284) will be awarded to the Day 1 MVP.
