Arriving ahead of Stage 2 of
Challengers North America, FlyQuest are set to make their first roster change, according to sources close to
Sheep Esports, with Leo "
Leo" Song being moved to the bench and Michael "
neT" Bernet joining the active lineup. The North American organization is using its first transfer window to make adjustments to its VCL roster.
Already active in
VALORANT since 2023 with a Game Changers lineup (
FlyQuest RED), with whom the club reached the World Championship in 2024, FlyQuest finally entered the main circuit on March 30, 2026, by signing most of the sleepers mix roster. Already a Top 4 team during the first competitive segment of the year, the squad, now under FlyQuest colors, failed to improve on that result during Stage 2, finishing in exactly the same position.
Despite ending second after the Group Stage, FQ were upset by Shopify Rebellion Black in the first round of the playoff upper bracket and immediately dropped to the lower bracket. With their backs against the wall, the team managed to secure two consecutive wins to reach the lower bracket semifinals before being eliminated just short of the Top 3 by Division One, a Premier Mode team they had previously defeated earlier in the tournament.
Experience added to FlyQuest
Following that result, the organization has decided to add more experience to their roster, and has turned to NeT. Active since nearly the beginning of VALORANT, the veteran spent several years competing in VCL NA and even qualified for Masters Reykjavík in 2022, before the introduction of the current VALORANT Champions Tour format. After a full year grinding with The Guard in 2023, he also qualified for VCT Americas with the roster before the organization collapsed, allowing G2 Esports to acquire both the players and the Tier 1 slot.
Unfortunately for neT, he was replaced shortly after the 2024 Kickoff and returned to Tier 2 for a few months with M80. It was not until the beginning of 2025 that he returned to the top level, this time with Cloud9, where he spent the season without major success aside from a Top 4 finish during Stage 2. After returning to VCL NA in 2026 with NRG Academy, neT is now expected to continue the season and the third split of the North American league under the FlyQuest banner.
