As first reported by
Konea TV, Movistar KOI’s third roster, set to play in the
Circuito Tormenta España, will feature Serbian toplaner
Mali Patan, French junglers
Thorizal and Julien “
Artanis” Poisson, Bulgarian midlaner
R0BIN, and a Spanish botlane made up of Néstor “
nae” Martí Serrano at AD Carry and Mario “
Bf” Martín Ráez Díaz at support, sources tell
Sheep Esports on Tuesday.
As previously reported, the team will be led by Spanish Head Coach Mario “
CptMario” De La Torre, previously at the helm of
in LFL Division 2. Artanis played for
during the 2025 NLC Summer Split, so he will not be eligible to start in the amateur league and will serve as Thorizal’s substitute.
The Players’ Ranks
Toplaner Patan is currently Grandmaster at over 1100 LP, with the highest win rate on the team at 56%. His three most-played champions are by far Ambessa, Zaahen, and Rumble. Thorizal, meanwhile, sits at Master 571 LP with a 51% win rate, also favoring Ambessa as his most-played champion, followed by Lee Sin and Gwen.
In the midlane, Victory holds a 55% win rate and is the highest-ranked player on the team at over 1200 LP, with more than 90 games played on Zoe. The botlane brings a bit more experience with Nestor, who has been part of the Spanish circuit since 2021, starting as a midlaner with UCAM Esports Academy and ECORP, before transitioning to ADC with Kawaii Kiwis. In solo queue, he is Grandmaster at over 1100 LP, with around fifty games played on Yunara.
At 24, support Bf has also competed in Spanish academy circuits with Green Dolphin Gaming, LittleSans and Kawaii Kiwis, with whom he played the Iberian Cup in 2025. In solo queue, he is Master at over 600 LP and plays a wide variety of champions, most notably Nautilus, Nami and Rell.
KOI Academy’s second roster
A few months ago, following the extension of LEC Head Coach Tomás “Melzhet” Campelos Fernández until 2028, plans to create a second academy team — alongside MKOI Fénix in the LES — in Spain’s Tier 2/3 scene began to take shape under his supervision. In early February, CPT Mario was appointed to lead the project, following a strong 2025 at KCBS, during which several talents now competing in Tier 2 first emerged.
Since 2026, Liga Nexo, the former Spanish second division, no longer exists. Circuito Tormenta, therefore, now serves as a hybrid between the second and the third Spanish divisions, though it remains entirely amateur. Overall, there are more than 200 different organizations in the ecosystem.
For 2026, Circuito Tormenta is introducing a new annual format without splits, turning the competition into a continuous season-long journey. Each month will feature a stop, either online or offline, open to all players. Every stop will be played across two weekends: the first includes two open qualifiers (Saturday and Sunday, best-of-one), while the second brings together the top performers from the qualifiers, the overall rankings, and the previous stop to compete in a best-of-three Circles Draft format.
In addition, the G-Stacks Series will return, offering a structured competition divided into divisions based on player levels. Each division will include up to eight teams competing in a Swiss best-of-one format on day one, followed by best-of-three matches in subsequent days and playoffs featuring semifinals and a final. The season will conclude with a major final event in December.
