Morgan has finally found his time to shine, as Team Liquid has improved over the course of 2026, and alongside fellow Korean solo-laner
, Morgan has become one of the LCS’ scariest laning threats.
Now, Team Liquid and Morgan have decided to renew his contract, originally set to end this year, as the team announced on Friday. Morgan will stay for another two years, as Liquid have put their faith in Morgan going through 2028.
Liquid commit to Morgan
Morgan’s contract extension was announced in a video where both Morgan himself and TL General Manager Kang “Dodo” Jun-hyeok. Morgan spoke about his decisions both to initially join TL and now to stay on the team. The former, he says, was informed by his past BRO teammate
, who joined Team Liquid two years before Morgan, and was on the team from 2024 to 2025.
According to Morgan, UmTi had serious praise for the Team Liquid environment, driving him to join. It makes sense: in UmTi’s time on TL, he won two LCS championships, and attended Worlds, MSI, and First Stand, a far cry from the challenges the pair experienced together on BRO. Morgan spoke well of the LA weather, correlating it with his great play in saying “
if weather is nice, I’m feeling good, and my condition is also good, so, yeah, my play is good! Simple!” before elaborating on Team Liquid’s amenities, like food, practice rooms, and living arrangements. Morgan also revealed that his conversation with Dodo about contract renewal came after Team Liquid’s MSI. As Dodo put it, “
He’s been playing out of his mind in MSI, and we’ve been just ramping up.” It’s true that Morgan and TL had some highlights at MSI, mainly in a 3-0 victory versus
with a great performance on his Game 3 Renekton, with some moments in their two losses to

Morgan’s contract extension means he’s seemingly now the longest-signed player on TL, a year past the 2027 mark that currently ends
