The
VALORANT Champions Tour Americas is set to enter a new phase with the launch of
Stage 1, scheduled
for April 10 at 2 PM (PT). This stage is fully embedded in the broader trajectory leading to
VALORANT Champions Shanghai. This Stage comes in the aftermath of
Masters Santiago, notably marked by a third-place finish from NRG Esports and a fourth-place result for G2 Esports.
Several teams are aiming to validate the early trends observed at the start of the season. FURIA, having already disrupted expectations during Kickoff, will seek to establish continuity in its progression. More broadly, the twelve participating teams, divided into two groups, will compete within a particularly selective structure in which only three qualification spots for the Masters London are available, thereby reinforcing the strategic importance of each series.
A demanding format and finely balanced competition
The tournament is structured around two groups of six teams, each competing in a full single-round-robin format, with all matches played as best-of-three series. At the conclusion of this stage, the top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, which will be played in a double-elimination bracket. The VCT Americas Stage 1 will conclude on May 24th.

In Group Alpha, the competitive narrative is shaped in part by an implicit rivalry between Brazilian representatives LOUD, MIBR led by Erick "aspas" Santos, and FURIA. Several American-based contenders, such as Leviatán and Cloud9. G2 Esports, for its part, takes an intermediate position, tasked with reaffirming its competitiveness against a diverse range of opponents while continuing to justify the acquisition of Andrej "BABYBAY" Francisty.
Group Omega presents a distinct configuration, highlighted by the presence of NRG Esports, the reigning world champions, who displayed a notably different level of performance at Masters than in Paris. However, this status does not diminish KRÜ Esports' potential to disrupt established expectations, particularly now that their full roster has secured visas and new players such as Max "Demon1" Mazanov have joined Envy. In such a context, the margin for error remains exceptionally narrow, with each result capable of directly influencing qualification outcomes.
