Nope, it's not Lee "Loki" Sang-min. Per sources,
following the benching of Marek "Humanoid" Brázda, An "
" Hyeon-seo has reached a verbal agreement, pending approval, with
. He’ll therefore play for the Hive in the
League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) Summer Split. This will be the 23-year-old midlaner’s second stint in Europe, following his year with Papara SuperMassive.
FIESTA is therefore joining Vitality after two splits with BNK FEARX Youth in the LCK CL, where the Korean academy league team finished in the bottom half of the standings in both splits.
On Vitality’s side, the team had shown interest in other players, including Solary’s midlaner Kang "Jool" Dong-su. Furthermore, according to our sources, Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság attracted interest from other LEC teams but is ultimately expected to remain with Vitality.
The first Korean player to join Vitality’s LEC roster since Kyeong "Photon" Gyu-tae, FIESTA will also become the second Korean midlaner to play for Vitality in the Tier 1 scene. The first was Lee "GBM" Chang-seok during the 2017 Spring Split, where he only played three games, all during the regular season. Vitality have not had many Korean players in their rosters over the years, with Kang "Haru" Min-seung and Lee "Mowgli" Jae-ha also being part of that list.
Trying to Break into the Top Four
Since the start of the season, the organization had high ambitions to finally achieve strong results. But a near-perfect Spring regular season record of 8-1 ultimately ended with them finishing as the 5th-place team, while they finished only 6th at LEC Versus. With such an ambitious roster, a top-four finish was expected to be within reach, but they were often kept out of that position by GIANTX.
Considering that changes were needed, Vitality decided that the adjustment had to be made in the midlane, bringing in a Korean midlaner who is a two-time TCL champion (Summer 2024 & Winter 2025) and an LCK CL champion with Nongshim RedForce Academy (Summer 2022). His career began in 2020 in the LCK AS, where he developed before joining NS second team.
Promoted in the main Nongshim roster in 2023, FIESTA played a total of 81 games in the LCK, Korea’s top division, winning 19 of them for a 23% win rate. In terms of champion pool, FIESTA’s three most-played champions are Ahri with 39 games, Azir with 37 games, and Corki with 30 games.
