Sheep Esports sources have confirmed the signing of 17-year old Russian player Maxim “kyousuke” Lukin to Team Falcons’ Counter-Strike 2 roster. kyousuke is most likely set to enter the squad after the BLAST.tv Austin Major concludes in June next month. The young rookie, currently playing for Team Spirit Academy, is one of the most hyped names in the Tier 2 CS2 scene, a true standout talent. He received interest from many Tier 1 teams, but ultimately chose to sign with Team Falcons for the upcoming season.
kyousuke will be stepping in to a star-studded roster, also featuring the recent addition of Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, one of the top CS2 talents in the world. Team Falcons certainly have high standards for achievement in CS2, placing first in this year’s Bucharest PGL, second at Intel Extreme Masters Melbourne 2025, and second at BLAST Rivals Spring 2025. They’ll be looking to further that success going forward with the addition of kyousuke.
This news comes after kyousuke’s dominant victory in the LanDaLan #2 on May 8th with Team Spirit Academy, a 3-0 series over ARCRED. This is just one of the recent tournament firsts kyousuke has been racking up since joining Spirit Academy, his first-ever team, last year. There, kyousuke also found victory over two CCT events last year, and the previous LanDaLan in February. Now, he’s ready to step up to the highest level of CS2 competition.
