Sources: Former Heretics Coach Arkhe set to join Joblife in the LFL as Head Coach

One Turkish coach will replace another at Joblife for the LFL Summer Split. Emre "Arkhe" Akpınarlı is set to join the team as Head Coach, replacing Burak Kaan "Viser1on" Badan following the team's 9th-place finish in the Spring Split. The organization recently released its entire roster, with only Greek support Mertai "Mersa" Sari remaining. Discussions with new players have already been initiated.

Arkhe will therefore return to a Head Coach position after spending two splits as an Assistant Coach under Jonas "Hidon" Vraa at Team Heretics in the LEC. At just 22 years old, the Turkish coach has been active since 2020 and has already had several experiences leading teams in both the TCL, AL and the NLC. He was under contract with Heretics until after Worlds 2027.

As previously reported by Sheep Esports a few days ago, Joblife had already begun interviewing coaches and players in order to rebuild with a new lineup ahead of the Summer Split. It therefore comes as no surprise that the Head Coach position was filled first, allowing Arkhe to choose the players he believes are best suited to bring the team back to success.

A fifth-to-sixth place finish at the LFL Invitational followed by a ninth place in Spring, Joblife will have to step up during the Summer Split to show a much better version of themselves. In the LEC with Team Heretics, Arkhe’s team ultimately failed to deliver, finishing 7th in Winter and bottom 10 in Spring.

The organization has already begun discussions to rebuild its roster, with Arkhe and Joblife reaching out to multiple players across all roles. Targets range from active ERL competitors to former LEC players and free agents, with sources indicating the team has been highly active throughout the offseason in an effort to assemble a significantly stronger lineup.
